cam newton wasn't on the sidelines because he was following the doctors orders

Sadly so many racists can't admit their double-standardness is due to race. It's a FACT. Whether they even realize it or not.

There’s a difference between unconscious bias and racist.

One knowingly knows why and still chooses to be racist, the other is because of circumstances and the environment they were raised in and just haven’t been exposed to why it’s wrong.

you are in the Bible Belt in the south. Of course you are going to have both, but I’d rather talk with someone who has unconscious bias and teach and help them understand and know why. I’m sure we have both in this board

99% they are.

Cam Newton loves football and wants to win more than anyone on the field. He's a generational talent at the QB position, and he plays for the Carolina Panthers.

If you are a fan of the Carolina Panthers football team, yet you take every opportunity to knock the guy for his fashion, not being on the sidelines per doctor's orders, playing injured, his hair, his speech, or whatever else you want to knock him for, then it doesn't leave many other options on the table.

cam is not a generational talent at qb.  get a grip.  that would be tom brady.   maybe mahomes will be the next generational talent, we'll see.   cam has been a really good qb and has played great at times and for stretches, but he's not a generational talent at qb.  you're delusional

i was wondering why he wasn't there too and thought it was a fair discussion and a good way to stay out of the game day thread.  glad to get this info, and yeah he totally would have injured himself on that mccaffrey flip.  i actually think they should have announced this thru a press release before the game at some point.  woulda stopped with the speculation.

I'm embarrassed how our own fanbase has acted towards Cam these last 3 weeks, acting like this man doesn't care about his teammates and isn't the best thing to happen to this franchise. No wonder the national media can easily sh*t on Cam when our own fanbase doesn't have his back.

Some may not be racist but just dont like CAM bc he is a big personality..probably had issues early in their life with that or wanted to be a big personality and couldn't mustard enough attention.

Simpler than that for many. Did you ever play king of the hill as a child. When someone climbs to the top and dares you to knock them off, you want to knock them down a peg or two. And that is the thing with Cam, he isn't just a big personality, he flaunts his success in everything he says and does. He doesn't apologize or act humble. So human nature is often to root for his undoing. There is no reason to assume that this basic human dynamic doesn't apply on this site or that not liking him has to always have racial overtones. It is the old adage the bigger they are the harder they fall. This is human nature, nothing more for most folks.

Most people accuse others of possessing traits they themselves have.  That is why they can so easily spot those traits in others.

rushing td's?   gimme a break.  rushing yards?    he's not a first ballot hall of famer.  hes a very good qb.  we've been lucky to have him and should have put a very good line in front of him.   maybe he could have been a first ballot if we did that. we'll never know.
