uh...I wouldn't go that far. lol.

Sunday will be a tough test and I am nowhere close to discussing Miami in Feb. This is where the tough part of the schedule begins.

Ha. I know, but I think it is funny to get under the skin of people who don't have good takes.

If you apply football acumen you would realize it is only a 3rd, and likely moving back 10-12 spots for the other pick. Plus if they let him walk at the end of the season they will get a compensatory pick, which will likely be the case because we wont be active in free agency given we are stacked at most positions, will smoke you on Sunday and will go to Miami.

Lol. Your team is definitely not better than NO and i don't see us getting smoked

Fair on Washington, but they allowed 126 to the Browns and Rams.

Don't expect anything crazy to stop CMC.

In the past two games they have allowed the opposing team to run right down the field. They make an adjustment (not an extra man, usually an alignment or a different DT), and then its lights out for most of the rest of the game.

No, I'm not expecting that with CMC. I know him well. He played at Stanford just up the road. I can all but guarantee the Niners WILL NOT shut him down completely.

Niners will rush 4, seldom blitz, and count on the rush to get there just as it has all season, and sit back with 7 in coverage. They'll bend but not break in the run game, or at least that'll be the plan.

The Niners LBs (Alexander and Warner) have been excellent.

I will say this...I've been on SEVERAL boards this year. Every single weak I read almost exactly word for word what I read here...."they haven't played anyone, this week will be different. They haven't seen XYZ". Vs Browns is was about Chubb, OBJ and Landry.

And then gameday comes and they are shocked.

I'm not going to go so far as to predict that, especially with as many players out as they'll have, but I have seen this happen week after week this year. Ya'll could be right and the Niners get smacked around, but I think some might be underestimating them. Its all good tho.

Should be fun. I'll be i the building.  :)

I...I dont like you.  Opposing fans are supposed to be a-holes, and I'm not supposed to like them, but you seem like a really cool dude.

Sanders was a good pick up for the 9ners, he still has played well this season even with flacco’s ineffective ass.

godwin has disappointed, and pettis ended up in the dog house. I doubt sander will be too effective but definitely still has some juice

So...Niner receivers other than Sanders:

1) Deebo Samuel: The future. Dude is crazy talented. Problem is he makes rookie mistakes and has had some butterfingers here early. In what will be a recurring theme, great in space. Kick Returner in colllege. Also banged up and missed last week not sure he's playing this week.

2) Dante Pettis: Maddening. Crazy good in space (record holder for Punt return TDs in college), crazy good at the line. Gets wide open...drops the ball. Gets open deep, won't go up and fight for it and ball gets picked off. runs a good pattern on a slant, ball bounces off his hands into the air and intercepted. Just like Samuel, makes ALOT of young player mistakes and needs that vet presence Sherman gave them among the DBs. I think that's what Samuel is about.

3) Jalen Hurd: Looked GREAT in first preseason game, hasn't played since. 6'4" Ex-RB who looked fantastic. Hairline fracture of a disk in his back has sidelined him. On IR, will probably be elevated later in season. This is another "the future" guy like Samuel.

4) Trent Taylor: Excellent slot guy, was really good as a rookie and Jimmys go-to late that year. Sucked last year after back surgery, looked great again in camp this year and now on IR with broken foot. Also might be back later in the year.

5) Marquise Goodwin: One of the few guys anyone actually knows anything about nationally...he is what he is. Stretches defense, runs a few sweeps, and at times looks great. At others looks like a track start playing WR...and I don't mean that as compliment. Awesome guy tho. Great in community.

6) Kendrick Bourne: OK WR, decent size, OK route runner, tends to make mistakes on routes. Kinda JAG.

7) Jordan Matthews: likely inactive if he's even on the roster in a few days.

Shanahan loves open space guys....kick returners, ex-RBs, etc because he can scheme them into open space.

Trust me we know about fans doubting undefeated seasons. 2015 we were called the worst undefeated team in history.

look back at who we played notably the first 7 games:

seahawks RW legion of boom

Saints Drew Brees

colts Andrew luck

The only notable team you guys have beaten are the rams.

the rest don’t even compare to what we faced the first seven weeks of the season.

you guys have had a cakewalk. There is no denying it. Not saying you’re not a good team, good teams beat up on bad teams and win. But I think a sizable portion of your fan base is gonna be in for a rude awakening Sunday.

This panthers team can ball and get to the qb. And we’ve done it with injuries to our starting LT’s, starting all pro qb, pro bowl guard, starting corner and all pro dt.

I'm in no way trying to present the teams they've played and liken them to a murderers row of opponents.

However....they didn't just beat them.

1) Bucs: Niners beat them by 2 scores despite having THREE TDs called back on dubious at best calls. Despite that, this was Jimmys worst game as it was his first back from the ACL. He was a bit scattershot all day. Bosa also CLEARLY hampered by preseason ankle injury and STILL had a pretty big impact.

2) Bengals: Beat the brakes off the Bengals. 41-17 and wasn't that close. Out-gained them 571-316 despite shutting it down in 4th quarter and allowing lost pass play on backups with under a minute to play.

3) Steelers: Turned the ball over FIVE TIMES, three times completely unforced and three times inside the Steeler 15. Still won by 4. Outgained the Steelers 436-239....and that's only because of two long pass plays by the Steelers, one on Jason Verrett....who clearly isn't ready to be back. They pulled him after the TD.

They then had their bye and got Jimmie Ward back at FS and Nick Bosa back to nearly full health.

4) Browns: 31-3. Out-gained the Browns 446-180. Allowed a net 78 pass yards. Bosa had himself a game.

5) Rams: The first "ok now it counts" game. Playing without their tackles or Pro Bowl FB. 20-7. Held Goff to 48 yards net passing after he'd had 517 and 395 the two previous weeks.

6) Redkins: 9-0. I mean...in reality...I pretty much throw all the stats out the window on that one in what was an embarrassing display of groundskeeping in the nations capitol. I'm just glad nobody was hurt.

I am not deaf to the comment that they haven't played as hard a schedule. I am gonna argue tho that they have dominated the teams they were supposed to dominate even with guys out of the lineup.

DEN trades WR Emmanuel Sanders to SF

Denver Broncos get: 2020 third- and fourth-round picks
San Francisco 49ers get: WR Emmanuel Sanders, 2020 fifth-round pick

Broncos grade: B-
49ers grade: C

It's a run on wide receivers! After the 49ers missed out on Mohamed Sanu this morning, they weren't going to miss out on adding the other prominent veteran wideout on the market. Despite Kyle Shanahan insisting on Monday that the 49ers didn't feel any sense of urgency to add help at wide receiver, it only took a matter of hours after the Sanu trade for the Niners to add Sanders to their roster.

I'm not sure this moves the needle much for the 49ers, who have plenty of competent wideouts without any standout option. I suggested that the Niners pursue A.J. Green, who would have been a clear upgrade on the options Shanahan rolls out each week. Sanders figures to take snaps away from Deebo Samuel and Dante Pettis, and while the 49ers are ticketed for the playoffs after their 6-0 start, getting those young wideouts reps is still going to be what's best for the organization in the long term.

It's also reasonable to ask if Sanders is going to be available to play as the season goes along. Sanders put in an incredible rehab effort to return from the torn Achilles he suffered in December by the start of the season, but he has already missed practice time this year with quadriceps and knee issues, the latter of which knocked him out of a game. He doesn't necessarily need to be a deep threat, but he has caught one pass more than 20 yards downfield this season, and it came in the opener. The 32-year-old played just one full 16-game season across his four previous chances in Denver.

In the best-case scenario, the 49ers get a healthy Sanders as a supplement to their current receiving corps as a savvy veteran wideout. Like Sanu, he is regarded as a good blocker, which will help one of the league's most run-happy teams as they get to the edge. Like the Patriots, Shanahan's scheme asks his wideouts to learn more than the vast majority of NFL teams. The good news is that Sanders has been playing under a similar scheme under Broncos offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello, who worked under Shanahan, which will help give the veteran a head start.

Unlike Sanu, though, the 49ers aren't really getting a financial bargain. Sanders has just over $6 million in prorated salary due over the remainder of 2019. And while the Patriots have the option of paying Sanu a team-friendly salary in 2020, Sanders is a free agent after the year. Combined with the chances that Sanders will miss time during the season, I think you can raise questions about whether this is good value for the 49ers.

The Broncos, meanwhile, bite the bullet and trade another one of the veteran standouts from their Super Bowl-winning team in 2015. Adam Schefter reported that the Broncos wanted Sanders to suit up against the Colts on Sunday before making this trade, which seems bizarre for a 2-5 team with a 3.3% shot of making the postseason, per FPI.

The difference between San Francisco's fourth-round pick and Denver's fifth-round pick should be small given where each sits in the standings, so this is really a third-round pick and the equivalent of a late-round selection for Sanders. That's a fair return for the Broncos, who get to save $6 million and spend the rest of the season evaluating whether they want to add another wideout around DaeSean Hamilton and new No. 1 Courtland Sutton, who has had a breakout season. General manager John Elway will likely want to see what he has in Tim Patrick when the 6-foot-4 Utah product is eligible to make his way back from injured reserve in midseason.

The score and a bad Baker stopped Chubb.  Chubb averaged 5.4 yards a carry against SF.

Chubb is the one good RB the Rams have faced in 2019.  No one else y’all have faced is having a good year running the ball.

Niner fan here. No worries...no smack talk from me.  :)

Just FYI on Sanders.

Denvers OC is Rich Scangarello. He spent the past two seasons as the QB Coach in SF under Shanahan.

They run the same system. There are certainly some nuances that will need to be learned, but Sanders largely already knows the offense.

Peace.

Hey bro.  I got nothing against the Niners. In fact I hope they beat the Saints this year, twice.

Well, only difference between them talking vs us?  We actually are a good team that does several things better than anyone else is doing this year

Yes he did.

In fact, several runners have had decent averages per carry this year.

It's because they won't stack the box. I guarantee you that CMC will have at LEAST a decent game statwise. I make no claim that he will be shut down.

What I am wondering tho is how this Pass D plays after giving up 176 yards over the last three weeks combined.
