How do you feel about the Greenbay game...

Allen grew up in AZ, played college ball in Texas and now is in Carolina.

Has he ever thrown a ball in cool temperatures before?

I don’t like our chances to begin with and if Allen hasn’t ever played in slightly below freezing temperature before I like them even less. Sunday in GB isn’t exactly cold weather but for a kid from AZ it might be

Not good.

Packers got whupped today and as Rodgers said it's a bit of an attitude check for them --- they will be ready to rock & roll next week.

In addition, the weather looks pretty cold....high of freezing or thereabouts.

Good news is they haven't played in any cold weather either so far so maybe it is as much of a wash on that front as we can hope for.

QB7 goes to 6-2.

I think they can beat packers if we run the ball down their throats and pressure Rodgers like chargers did. We do lead the nfl in sacks. They are not good vs the run

This is a good point and something I hadn’t considered. The high on Sunday is forecasted to be 30 degrees. Could definitely be a factor. Looking up his college games he played well in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis on Dec 29 where it was in the high 30s during the game. That’s the only example I could find and that was several years ago.

I really don't know.  I feel they got to Rodgers and disrupted his timing and confidence in his o-line.  If our front D-line can make the push and disrupt Rodgers like Bosa and another fella did, we have a shot.  Otherwise....he is going to have time to take a piss before he throws the ball and burn up our secondary.  Still not sure Kyle can go into a shootout with Rodgers.  Still hope he balls out but then again, the whole team needs to ball out.  Still sick and tired of the defense keeps the opponent in the game by going "soft" when we have a lead.

Liberty Bowl - 12/29/2014 (Memphis)

Think that is it.  Haven't found good weather info but I think I have found a site saying it was a high of 36 that day. Which probably compares to GB temps this week.  Not as cold projected Sunday though.

Allen played well for whatever that is worth.

This is a bounce back game for Green Bay and beating them will be tough for reasons already mentioned.Rain and cold doesn't mean you don't pass the ball. But if we win I be we will have won the battle in the trenches.

I predict we need 2 or more turnovers.

The only cure is peanut punch and Vernon strip sacks.

Carolina continues to give out rushing yards like its Halloween candy at 133 yards per game. And most of that is coming right between the tackles. I fully expect the Panthers to allow another 150 or so this week against Green Bay.

3 of the last 4 games: Gardner Minshew 358 passing yards, Jameis Winston 365 passing yards and Ryan Tannehill 310 passing yards. Are you fugging kidding me?

And if you think for one minute that Aaron Rodgers isn't going to want to kick someone's ass after yesterday.....

Green Bay has the third worst rush defense so cmc should roll

    • Would Morgan or Beason have been HOFers' if injuries hadn't derailed their careers?  I was not a close watcher of the game when Morgan was in his prime but I thought Beason had a few seasons at close to Lukes' level of play.
    • Franchise QBs feast when things are rolling and the tide that raises boats when things are going sideways.  Bryce isn't that. He's a complimentary player, that's it.  When the defense and STs are on point, he plays loose and it shows.  When we are in a dog fight and things haven't gone our way, he struggles.  It's that simple. He's not a horrible QB, but he's not top tier either.  So the question begs, is this worthy of a second contract?  The answer should be no.  It definitely is my answer. Bryce will never be a QB that can produce wins largely on his arm.  That's a FRANCHISE QB, any other QB is simply a placeholder at the starter's position until that guy can be found.   At some point the excuses of lack of weapons will be a straw man.  Heck, it's nearly there now.  I mean if he doesn't look even better than last year will we blame it on the TE position?  'Well if Bryce only had a player like Kelce, Kittle or Gronk on this team...'  Are we really going to do that?
    • When I arrived at college, I was 18, not too much younger than some of these draft picks.  It was not a huge school, but there were guys on the team who were 21, 22, 23....playing ahead of me.  I was seventh on the depth chart.  Those guys have been through a few seasons, were stronger, more knowledgeable.  I was a better raw player than some of them, but those other factors matter.  As I grew stronger, more familiar with the playbook, and learned what it was like to play in college, I gradually improved and with that, I rose up the depth chart.  It took most of my freshman year for the light to come on.  Had the coach thrown me into the starting lineup day 1, I would have probably failed.    And that was college.  So I agree with you based on my experience on a much lower level.  Frankly, I think that is why so many kids drafted to fill huge gaps bust.  The teams are desperate.  Anyone who looks to fill vacancies in the starting lineup through the draft is desperate.  You draft depth to develop.  For this reason, I say, "Let Walker start for a while."  Maybe Brazzell can be our WR 4.  Throw Hunter into a rotation and ask him to do one or two things.  Freeling needs some strength and he needs to work on run blocking.
