I have to say, there is a part of me that looks at some of this and goes "Really?"

Its just for re-zoning.  He is just covering all his bases and get everything approved beforehand.  Just like adding a 400'+ tower on the site. Pipe dream but much easier to get it zoned to allow it now than waiting and hoping for a rezoning after the fact.  Rock Hill right now is ready to do what ever he wants. In 10 years from now...you never know.

what do you expect him to do at this point in time? It’s not like he can wave a magic wand and improve the team. Don’t worry about Tepper, he didn’t buy the team because he wants to be average, when it’s time he’ll do what’s necessary.

The time was last off season and he didnt do anything, I would probably bet money he dosent fire anyone this offseason either. He keeps hearing around the league that Mo-Ron is a good coach, what else should your competition say? Oh he is a terrible coach why dont you find someone that can use your generational talents to the best of their ability?

Who are you? His wife?  Lighten up Francis.  I could give 2 sh*ts what he does outside football.  My only interest is watching his team win.  So far it's mixed results as usual, pretty much like it was under the old boss.  Yeah I've had enough of that.

When I see him building low-income affordable housing then I'll be impressed. Until then, not so much.

Your post caused me to take a minute to research Tepper's philanthropy a bit more in depth. While he has given generously to educational causes and as someone who comes from a family of teachers and believes strongly in the power of education, Tepper's gifts do seem mostly to have been directed towards Carnegie Melon University and Pittsburgh University, his undergraduate and MBA alma matters, neither of which are hurting for cash last time I checked. It would be nice to see a man with 11 billion dollars get more deeply involved in charitable work that directly helps the truly disadvantaged, rather than making already prestigious schools endowments even bigger.

Still, I think Tepper as a billionaire so far seems like the kind I'd take over most, from my vantage point here of being close personal friends with him of course.
