You should ask him just how terrible all the very good college LBs who will never even sniff the pros are then if all these pro LBs are garbage. I mean damn dude, you played JUCO ball. You must have been comically terrible!

Maybe it'd put it in perspective...or maybe he'd kick your ass. LOL!

Oh he’s ex special forces. He’d definitely kick my ass.

On the subject of our WRs. Could someone explain how two young WRs, who both excel with the ball in their hands, have 8 rushes COMBINED!!!!! FFS.

They have a few issues before the ball, everything minor, but I like them both going forward. Both are highlight reels waiting happen every time they get the ball. They should be combining for at least 5 carries.  Especially when you are trying to help out a young QB, and take some defensive attention away from CMC.

DJ Moore is quietly on pace for 1,246 receiving yards.  Not too shabby for year two, in a running offense, with Kyle Allen as your QB.

The 1 TD is a bit of a head scratcher.

The one TD is no head scratcher all. Our redzone offense is terrible because when the field is shrunk like that, it's a BIG difference maker for a very young, inexperienced QB, NFL defensive coordinators know this... If Allen can figure out THAT part of his game THEN he may have a chance in this league as a starter.

And you're right, those are really good numbers for a young receiver like Moore. Hell, it took Steve Smith 3 seasons to become the "consistent" playmaker he was.

One thing I'd like to see in Moore is him finding that extra gear and "shoulder chip". That's the difference with the college game and the pro game, the big play makers have a knack for hitting that nitrous switch to separate and leave everyone in the dust once they get the ball. You can see that he's close, I just hope that it comes full circle.... If he's working hard it will without a doubt. And he's a bit of a quiet, shy type guy... I'd like to see a little MOORE attitude out there. Show us a little passion and fire, a little "I will not be denied" attitude once in a while... As an NFL WR, I think you need some of that to put you over the top, if you watch film, a lot of the great ones had that.  Honestly, I think Moore will be fine, the guy CLEARLY has the intangibles. It's just a matter of growth and ummm... dare I say, QB consistency.

Panthers need to sign a mid-tier vet AND spend a mid-round pick on WR. Moore needs running mates, hes progressing just fine.

I’d definitely like a stud big WR. DG’s problem with WRs wasn’t that he only liked big WRs but that the WRs he liked sucked. If we could get an AJ Green or prime Dez type who can win battles at the point of attack and catch the contested passes on 3rd downs that would be a huge addition to our offense. We have no one on the team right now to do that at all, as Greg is more of a savvy guy who can get open, not a jump ball guy. Everyone else is tiny.

You answered the dilemma before you asked it.

Still about to log a 1200+ yard season....and he did lead the league in yards after contact last year.

I still think the law of averages is eventually going to come into play for DJ and he starts finding the endzone and getting away from that contact.  Even with Kyle Allen he is getting the touches where his lack of scoring has to eventually has to even itself out to some degree IMO.

I swear that type of WR is rare, i dont know why. Boomer time- these WRs are so soft now. I agree need a bigger guy that is no push over, shame DG picked the softest twin towers in NFL history. Funch always had hamstring issues and Kbenj played like an vitamin d deficiency dwarf. I was a big Benj fan/supporter too, what a giant disappointment.

I watched some 2011 stuff recently, o god Greg looks like a totally different player. Just soooo slow and twice this year Ive a guy try to tackle him only for Greg to bounce off them and hit the ground. S-O-F-T. Whole team(minus a few Shaq, Tre, Luke, CMC etc) is like that now, no clue how this happened. Im a big strength coach fan, but the OL AND DL (at times) have been destroyed.
