Yet your keystone argument is "maybe he is injured, I don't know".

Not really selling yourself as someone knowledgeable about what is going on.

Feel free to read the article and show how the person in question is wrong.

Do you know exactly how much Paradis is “injured”?. It’s been the assumption that he’s still hurt and that’s why he sux. Unless you have his medical report, no one knows.

Your answer is some guy who has never put on a helmet is saying it’s the coaches fault that he went from a top 10 center to the worst in the league.

This year Paradis was Center 17 on the pay chart.  Will be Center 12 on the pay chart next year.  Can be cut the next.

We can cut him after this season. We'd save $1.6M if we cut him straight up or we could designate him a post June 1 cut and spread his hit over two years.

If I was the GM, I'd probably cut bait and designate Paradis and Shirt as post -June 1st cuts and just move on.

We would literally have no team if we took everyone’s advice on cuts. We already have seven thousand free agents after this season, and if we stop using Paradis to block the left defensive end multiple times a game, he may be rated where he is being paid next year. He hasn’t had a great year but he is not nearly as bad as the Huddle makes him out to be. He is being ask to help out many different areas of the line that most centers never have to do

I hate the thought of eating 17M for a guy who can still play at a high level. Especially when the only other DT signed has to be cut. You could trade. Nice draft pick would make17M easier to swallow.

I am not sure I would go that far, and it has nothing to do with Paradis.  If we continue to use him in the wrong situations, then he was a bad signing.  Paradis was signed as a pass blocker who had known weaknesses that haven't changed.  Apparently we go out of our way to put Paradis in a situation to let his weaknesses shine while never adapting.

Not adapting to a pass rush.  That sounds familiar.

Well when our tackles stop getting hurt and play better they can do right by paradis. Wlliams to a 1 yr deal was an excellent gamble, unfortunately his injury was apparently gruesome enough to damage his nfl carrer. He no longer posses the things that made him special in his agility or athleticism in general to be a starting tackle.

Most tackles take at minimum a full nfl year to develop into even average starters, so maybe by next year with the help of FA, the draft, and experience our oline will be a pleasent suprise. Big thing is we need to stop all this line movement, consistency is important. I am worried about Taylor moton because he came straight in and played good and now is getting beat, is this due to inconsistency on the line or a injury or is he just having a down year. Little is playing about like i expected if not exceeding them as the way i feel about rookie LTs and Dennis Daley has exceeded all expectations since i had none..a LT that late, didnt assume hed even make the team!

Ehh i think hes fine and the ops link made very good points with film to back it up, not even really the coaches fault but more a very young tackle group. Tbh most pressure I have seen has come off the edges so don't even know why hes ranked so low. CMC also seems to have plenty of sucess running through the A gap.

I’ll take your word for it. He also thought we should have kept Matt Kalil.

I can pick a couple plays and make any player A star or a failure. It’s player that maintain a level of consistent play that survive. Well I could if I knew anything about how to do something like that on anything. Pretty much computer idiotic.

I’ve seen enough evidence of John Matsko turning garbage into serviceable parts to give him a little benefit of the doubt.

Me as well, i see Daley-draft pick-paradis-turner-Little or little and Daley switched whoever wins, with 3rd or later round draft a project C with very high upside for matsko for after paradis. Hurney knows this line needs help he just couldn't fix it in one year.

Per https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/carolina-panthers/matt-paradis-14618/

Paradis is a 7.2m dead cap hit next year.  5.4m 2021.

Paradis doesn't need to be moved on from.  The coaching does.  Or our tackles do.

I am not a fan of creating that much dead cap space for a player that has a history of playing well but is being put in a horrible situation this year.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
