Goal line playcalling

We snapped the ball on the final 6 plays with 10 + seconds remaining on the play clock while the game clock was running. The Saints shouldn't have had any time, we should have run the clock out and give the ball to CMC!!!!

I could understand that strategy.

I could also understand the "go all out and throw the ball in the end-zone and try to get a TD" strategy as well.

What I canNOT understand is the half-way strategy that Rivera chose that accomplished absolutely nothing.  Did NOT give the Panthers a reasonable chance to score a TD and did NOT run the clock.

Yet again, Rivera's utter lack of awareness of in-game strategy in-the-moment strikes again.  Since, according to MoRon, nothing is ever his fault, I wouldn't be surprised to see him blame his "clock coach" for it.

And when we do pass, it’s always that rollout to the right, completely eliminating one side of the field.

Might be time to start from scratch on this o line. They can’t run or pass block.

tbqh it was impressive Cmc gained any yards on the ground today, and that Allen didn't throw any ints/have any turnovers.  The way the Saints lived in our backfield all day ... We need a new and healthy OL...

And our kicker who is getting paid to kick balls thru uprights didn’t do his job. He makes his kicks and we waltz out of NO with a win

the first missed PAT also made us go for 2 on the next TD.

It is worth noting we had 3 TDs that yielded a total of 18 points.

I love CMC.  But can we please activate Davis so someone can pound it on short yardage.

You can keep CMC in the game.  Put him in the slot.  He will draw a ton attention and not allow other defense to stack 10 in the damn box.

It’s not CMC’s fault.  Probably with even an adequate OL he could perform OK on short yardage.  But with this OL getting absolutely no push we need someone that can push the pile himself for a yard or 2.
