Rapoport: Rivera the hottest coaching candidate

he’s widely respected throughout the league and gets along well with players. Most teams, especially those with openings, would see it as a clear upgrade.

Because there are a lot of old, white owners out there who long for the days of the 1985 Chicago Bears or the 1979 Steelers or whatever.

They are the reason the NFL coaching tree looks like some incestuous monster where head coaches and teams divorce, only to marry her cousin. Retreads everywhere. Sean McVay, Matt LaFleur,  Kyle Shanahan, Cliff Kingsbury are the exceptions, not the rule.

A barely over .500 career coach who only produced three winning seasons in nine years is the hottest candidate on the market?

Damn, this market sucks.

I guess nobody factors in the division we played in during Ron’s tenure.

- “Twitter NFL insider says eating dog poo will help heal”

...5 minutes later

- Mr. Scot post on the huddle “Insider says eating dog poo will help heal”

- Poster posts that insider could be right but doesn’t really know like everyone else

- Mr. Scot defends the position until his deathbed no matter what and won’t admit it’s just speculation or opinion

You're really going off on this tangent, aren't you? :)

We all post stuff that's being discussed by people in the know. If you'd like to suggest an alternative source, feel free.

It’s not a tangent it’s pertinent to this topic and 95% of other topics you make.

Rapoport believes Rivera will be the most sought after, it’s his opinion and he’s entitled to it but he has no idea as do any of us. Yet if anyone were to say they don’t believe Rivera will be the hottest coaching candidate others and you say they’re wrong. You just try to engage in a way where it’s not directly saying it but implying it so you can act sly and coy if/when it’s wrong.

Rivera will get another job but will he be the hottest candidate who knows though if I’m a team not a chance

It's posted for discussion, cause you know, it's a discussion board.

Tweets and articles aren't necessarily proof of anything, neither are they always meant to be by the author. And as to me, heck just because I post something doesn't mean I endorse it.  If I do, I'll say so. If not, I can just "leave it here" or occasionally offer an alternative take.

I wouldn't think that'd be difficult to understand, but hey...

By the way, there's plenty of football stuff to talk about right now. The fact that you'd apparently rather talk about me is a bit odd.
