Definitely a sense of 2010 all over again. Really attribute a lot of it to firing Rivera mid-season. Otherwise, we're probably heading for another 7-9 season.

I was going to make a "Good, Bad and Ugly" joke about 2001, 2010 and this year but that would have required me to call one of them "The Good".

Technically, this year's squad would be the Good if you take the best players from that year.

I don't even think a healthy Cam could have saved this team this year. Our defense is in shambles especially the dline and secondary. Time to blow this team up and start from scratch.

I do not honestly remember 2001 well enough, but 2010... This season is both better and worse than 2010.  The team is definitely better.  But the degree of under-performance / massive holes at certain part of the roster despite incredible players at other positions is *so painful*...

Maybe in record but talent wise I'm not sure. We have major problems with personal.

2001 wasn't as horrible as the record reflected. Steve Smith was emerging and so was Kris Jenkins. I'm pretty sure Dan Morgan was drafted that year as well. 2010 we at least knew we were talking and cleaning cap. Next year we will be close to cap hell again with a sub. 500 team.

The thing about 2010 was we had a head coach that just didn't give a sh-t.

It's honestly hard to say how good we could have been that year, though I'll grant the quarterback position likely wasn't gonna be good any way you went.
