What makes you think he was not healthy this year, out of curiosity?

I think he's healthy as evident by his starting of every game it's just think it will take him a season to feel normal again after fracturing his fibula. It's a huge plus he's been healthy and on the field after such a bad injury. He'll become a stud again.

Part of it is coaching and talent evaluation. I mean, putting Daryl Williams out there repeatedly should have cost a lot of people a job. Another part is effort and talent.

FWIW I think we potentially have a solid trio in Daley, Moton, and Little (if he can stay healthy.)

Turner has regressed a bit. Paradis has been thrown into a fire.

We need help inside more than outside right now, and that might be a silver lining in the long run.

We need to bring in at least two FAs on the OL, and draft another couple. That is for sure.

Yeah, I think the problem is that most of the unit should be backup players. Moton and Turner are starting quality at their positions(I think both hurt by the weakness of the unit overall) and perhaps Paradis doesn't stick out like a sore thumb in a different scheme. IF those guys are starting caliber, I think we still need to shore up the that left side pretty badly. Daley, Little and GVR are all depth guys, IMO. Perhaps you could like someone like Daley inside to LG and make it work. Be absolutely need a quality left tackle and a quality left guard at the bare minimum.

Since I'm on a roll, I'll go ahead and say that we should cut Daryl Williams immediately and sign any bum off the street to take his spot.

He's absolutely terrible, and one of the biggest problems with our OL. He has been ALL YEAR and nobody is holding him accountable.

Kinda hard to when all the other decent OL are hurt, as bad as he is pulling a guy off the street this late does little. He's likely gone in the off-season.

KK should be restructured. Poe will be cut. Olsen is likely gone as well, which will free up more at the cost of a little dead cap.

I think Hurney already punted some of Short's contract this offseason, so we are probably just basically stuck with it at this point.

Hurney already restructured him. That's why his contract figures are so fuged. If he hadn't been restructured we could probably have reasonably released him after this season. Now that contract has been transformed into a typical Hurney cap anchor.

That means it is likely that Love (33 years old now), McCoy, Butler, and Poe could all be gone.

One problem I see is that we cannot completely nuke the interior of the DL and expect to be able to replace them in the offseason. I know everyone is chomping at the bit to get rid of Short, Poe, etc. but we don't want to end up in a situation like we did after cutting Norman and then panic drafting three CB's. It's also possible that we don't dump Poe just because we will physically need some bodies. Or perhaps we do but resign McCoy. My point being, we can't completely toss it all out and then hope we can put together some semblance of order in just one offseason.

Yeah, that was a disaster of a decision. A true Hurney 1.0 special.

Great comparison (Norman).  We might get Love for one more season. A lot depends on the system (3/4, 4/3).  Butler is prolly gone, McCoy is possibly gone.  What would Butler be worth in terms of a comp pick?

Depends on Butler's eventual contract and impact for his next team as well as free agents we sign.

You don’t hand an alright overpaid NT 10M more  just to have a body. Especially one that is now coming off an injury. You can get better and cheaper. On a rebuilding team, that’s just throwing money away on a player not worth close to that.
