Honestly, he does seem a little bipolar. That is probably a decent speculative take.

SI published a detailed article about his history of erratic behavior and all the stuff he's been accused of

Bipolar or borderline personality disorder would make sense

Bipolar is easily managed once diagnosed and medicated.  The key is being correctly diagnosed and getting the right medication to control it.  Surprisingly, the condition is misdiagnosed too often.

He's one of the mega brains on this site who thinks that Cam is mentally ill because he wears scarves

LOL. I don't think Cam's decision to dress like a Lewis Carroll character means he's mentally ill. He's definitely a different cat, though.

Florio offers a little clarity regarding his pay and general situation (link)

Quote

For the Saints (or any other team that is entering the playoffs), the prospect of signing Brown now entails zero financial risk. If he’s placed on paid leave, the pay will be coming not from the team but from the league-wide playoff pool. So it gives the Saints dibs on Brown and forces the league to deal with a situation it would rather ignore.

Did not know that...

The league apparently had hoped to kick the can all the way through the postseason regarding the status of receiver Antonio Brown. The Saints apparently may keep that from happening.

If the Saints sign Brown, who is working out for the team today, the league will have to place Brown on the Commissioner Exempt list in order to keep him off the field in the postseason. It’s believed that no team has signed Brown because of the possibility/probability that the league would take such action, forcing his new team to pay him to not play while an investigation regarding sexual assault allegations continues. However, the league has declined to comment publicly on whether that would be the outcome.

The circumstances have resulted in a three-month unpaid suspension for Brown, who ultimately has no rights to force the league to finish its investigation or to make a decision as to his status in accordance with any specific timeline.

But ultimately...

The chances of Brown actually playing for the Saints in the postseason remain slim. The most significant development for now is that the Saints have broken ranks with the league, and the Saints may force the league to do something it surely preferred not to do.

Unless Bress negotiates a new deal, he's done next year.  He'll be 41-years old and probably would like to be dad for more than just the off season.  So yeah, I see why the Saints are all-in on this run.  Still, AB isn't the golden ticket to get them there.

Being dumb and being all over the map emotionally are two completely different things. That's an extremely reductive take.

You ever seen someone on the Price is Right when they get up on stage?  Are they all bipolar too?  It's funny everybody thinks they know Antonio Brown from what the media tells you.

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
