I'd take John. Not so sure about Jim.

Mind you, John isn't likely going anywhere anytime soon.

I don't think either of them are going anywhere soon. Jim has complete control at Michigan which was what he wanted in the NFL. Well, that won't be the case at many NFL jobs.

For me, an absolute no on McDaniels.  Giving him that much control after his performance in Denver is like taking a guy with a gambling problem to a casino and telling him you'll spot him his first $200 in chips.  That guy needs encouragement to spend time at the black jack table as much as McDaniels needs control/power within the organization.  Neither will end well.

I'm less put off by McCarthy, but he wouldn't be my first choice.  I was not overwhelmed by the job he did in Green Bay.  I may be wrong (ask my wife), but it looked to me like he was riding Rodgers' coat tails.  Maybe that was just a perception of mine, so I am not dead set against McC like I am McD.

I'm on the fence on Harbaugh.  I don't think you hire him, I think your rent him for 3 or 4 years until he wears out his welcome.  That being said, his parting company with the Niners was more on the Yorks than it was on him.  It would have probably happened sooner or later, anyway, but pushing him out the door and hiring Mr. Dunkin Donuts 2016 was pure genius. In a Three Stooges kind of way.

would rather Patriot multiple Super Bowl winners than a college coach that cant beat his rival

we already had our fill of a coach that cant win their own conference

josh mcdaniels has a worse head coaching record than ron rivera, have we had our fill of loser coaches or nah?

Jason LaCanfora did. And unlike you, he's in a position to know.

The only person saying that Tepper wants a "plug and play" staff is you, and you have zero credibility (same as you did in your old alts).

LaCanfora didn't do that.

Hey man, don't shoot the messenger.  I'm not making any predictions but word is McCarthy has a large staff ready to roll and that appeals to Tepper.  They are also both Steel City guys who dug their respective platinum resumes out of the dirt all on their own -- this thing is on.

The Panthers and Skins have done a lot of homework on Stanford's David Shaw.

And I wouldn't "shoot" the messenger, but I know enough to know that this particular "messenger" knows nothing.

It would be quite sad if this is a Mister Scot alt arguing with himself. That would actually make more sense than this being a legitimate person

LOL...that doesn't constitute a "link".

Tepper is all about Steel City and plug & play....this much is clear from the way the winds are blowing.  It's on fella...

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
