NFL: Brees, Rodgers don't make the NFL's all time quarterback list

At least they didn't throw Bradshaw or Aikman in there.

Staubach over Bradshaw is an interesting choice.

Bradshaw bested him repeatedly, but if you were to ask me who was the more skilled quarterback I'd probably have to say Staubach.

I hate to give any Cowboy a compliment, but I would probably agree. Bradshaw was a very good qb, but the Steelers had a boatload of talent around him.  Dominant defense, great receivers, and a great oline and running game.

That’s because Staubach was a much better QB.

Bradshaw shouldn’t be in the top 30. He was benched, twice, during their first SB season. In his 5th year. When we get to this elite level of comparison, everything counts. Just like Brees and his first 3 years before the rule change. Those count.

I wouldn't argue that. Bradshaw was always a more balls than brains kind of player.

Leaving a guy that won four Super Bowls off the top ten list though? Ouch.

Speaking of Super Bowls, you know who I'm kinda surprised to see left off this list?

Jim Kelly.

Yeah, I know he lost those games but Kelly was a damn good QB. I could argue he's at least better than Favre and Elway.

I'd agree with that.  Aikman and Elway are as overrated as it gets for me.  Good QB's, but not all time greats like heralded.  Same with Favre, although I like him a bit more than those two.

My thing with Favre is yeah, he probably had a better career overall than Aaron Rodgers has had to this point.

But in the same vein as Staubach and Bradshaw, could you really say Favre is the better quarterback?
