to be fair, most backups in the league are not the kind of player that can play 12+ games in a season and lead a team to a winning record without a strong support cast around them.  they are backups for a reason.

we really need a starter, and I hope it is Cam.  either way, I really hope it isn't Allen... unless we're after a QB in 2021...

I mean yeah but even a new coaching staff is just gonna want his own guys especially backups. I don’t even think Grier will be on this team although he has a better shot since he has draft capital with him.

If we take a 1st rounder he starts day one. You trade Cam for a pick and spend that money 100% on the offensive and defensive line. Otherwise draft for those issues and keep cam
