How does Andy Reid get credit for Sean McDermott when he a head coach because of his time in Carolina.

McDermott worked under Andy Reid from 1999 to 2010. Started as a scouting coordinator and worked his way up to defensive coordinator. Rivera brought him to Carolina as a DC, but he was groomed and developed under Andy Reid for over a decade.

I've always been more or less indifferent to Andy Reid as a coach, but this coaching tree and the selfless way he's campaigning for EB to get a head coaching gig are really earning my respect. The guy clearly knows how to help others become capable leaders and is confident of his ability to continue to do that even while losing quality assistants. I am really starting to hope his interview today goes well, and not just so we don't hire McDorkface.

The primary criticism of Andy Reid has always been that his teams fold in the playoffs. And yeah, that's valid.

The other thing that's out there but doesn't get discussed much is his family turmoil. That's been kind of a tragic story, but it doesn't necessarily say anything about his coaching.

No reason at all to even bring up his family. Disrespectful.

his coaching tree has done better than him in the playoffs for sure. Although I really think Andy is on the precipice of winning it all with mahomes on a rookie deal.
