Yeah, hiring someone else's disgruntled employee with an injury history and a year off the field getting out of football shape?

Did we just want to throw money at bad ideas???

He isn't the only player that left the Redskins upset about the conduct of the team medical staff. Apparently it was a real problem.

Seattle did it.

Big difference between Greg wanting to go elsewhere and Williams' last season conduct. Biiiig difference. Olsen showed up for work, did his job and left after the season was over, with no bad mouthing of the organization.

There's two ways to go about it -- Williams did it wrong, Olsen did it with class.

"Well, I wouldn't say it was mutual..."

But he did throw an epic fit. And that skin cancer thing, if I remember correctly.

I mean....you wouldn't be furious if they misdiagnosed something that was cancerous? It apparently went on for years that he voiced his concerns about it and the team doctors told him it was fine and then when they finally tested it, they found out it was a rare form of cancer. It's a growth, it really doesn't take much effort to just take a sample and send it off to a lab to get it tested.

I'm not arguing that the Redskins did him wrong, I'm just saying let's stay out of that situation. We've got a team to rebuild, it might not be the time to bring a guy in to rehab from another team. Especially at the high dollars he will want. Let someone else roll the dice on that high chip count.

That is soooo much better than many would say in the same situation. He let his side be known without going into some kind of diatribe or creating a sh!tshow.

Heck, I wish we still had him for the upcoming season, but when everyone calls for regime change, it gets messy.

    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
    • Cos he looks much better?
