I got it, but I don't think the correlation is that strongly related. To me, the 10 yard split would be a better indication of that than broad jump or vertical jump.

I agree though, combine performances doesn't negate production of play on the field.  Then there are teams that get burned by guys who don't show up on tape, but train for and show well the combine

Train is the key word. They were actually talking about how Becton (and others) trained with Michael Johnson, the Olympic sprinter. They were talking about how they could tell by his hand placement. I’m not saying he’s not a great athlete but there is an advantage that some guys get by working on the drills foremost. That’s why you can’t look at just one thing. That TE that blew away the 40 looked like dog poo in the gauntlet. He was literally jogging. I don’t care about straight line speed when he had to slow down so much to be able to turn and catch balls.

Maybe the combine showed that a Brown has bigger risks than originally thought or maybe he wasn’t training with Olympic athletes and is just quick and fast football wise. We’ll find out soon enough.

And that’s why Marty went apeshit and way over drafted Little.

Wow, they dropped Brown out of the first round, lol!  Analytics has it's place, but the eyeball test still counts too.  They put WAY too much emphasis on skill positions simply because they have more sets of tangible numbers to crunch.

disappeared in several games, lack of effort, etc.

Lot of upside and out of this world measurements but 7 seems way too early. Seems like he’s climbing just off combine and measurements.

I don’t think he’ll be a pro bowl level player at the next level and that’s what you want to see drafting that high.

He was double and triple teamed by everyone. I remember one clip from the App State game where he took on three blockers and still made it through; App has a quality offensive line, albeit a tad undersized up the middle.

Though I do recall him being taken completely out of the play quite a few times by one person in that game.

Either way, if the effort is there, and KK is healthy, they should compliment each other pretty well.
