Corona Virus

Scary times. Be safe people. Im done traveling and eating at fast food restaurants for a while. Going to be a homebody for a few months until this gets under control.

Workplace is the most concern. If someone gets it at work it can easily spread. Just think about this when you're at work. Make sure to wash your hand every chance you get.

Once the test come in the numbers are going to be staggering. But it will signal a end not a beginning.

If the numbers were huge we would be seeing more deaths and over run hospitals. The numbers are most likely still low.

Yeah but you don't want more. Some people are reckless and any corona virus can mutate. Rather fight two strains than 4.

Yet there's no travel restrictions to South Korea, UK etc. with active outbreaks. The travel restrictions seem to have no reasonable logic behind them.

I’m disappointed In my company that my workplace hasn’t officially mandated the work from home stuff. Everyone in my office has the ability to work efficiently from our houses.

Negative, without tests they are being treated like other common viruses. Just wait and watch.

Same...I took it upon myself to tell my boss I am 100% from home for a while.  WTF could he say?

If there's a long term benefit to this whole ordeal, I really hope that it's a more widespread acceptance of working remotely. With the technology available today there are a LOT of jobs that can be done arguably even more efficiently remotely. I've worked remotely for the past 11 years. Fug going to an office for 40+ hours every week.

This. It's already widespread, we just don't realize it yet. 80% of cases are symptomless or mild. Most of those people likely haven't even been to the doctor. The ones who have were likely diagnosed with a cold and told to rest up.

Ok....but by all accounts this is deadlier and has more extreme symptoms in the elderly and sick people. My friend has treated these patients. He hasn’t seen a huge uptick in patients in the ICU and he works in Seattle.

No logic yet most of our cases have come from Italy not South Korea. I'm not seeing how you think the UK is a hot bed and not Italy?

I could work from home every day and get the same amount of work done. But it’s not a good feeling and not very motivating to work for a company you don’t think has your back.

The average working citizen doesn't have an office job. What about those major companies like Amazon/Wal Mart etc... those people actually have to go to work because it is a warehouse environment. This is how viruses like these spread. I was just talking to a guy who works for Amazon and he said it's already people testing positive for the virus who work in these warehouses. They are touching products we order online. People don't think about this stuff though.

I would stay away from ordering online as well.

It's not the black death they are preaching on CNN. If you have pre existing conditions yes but that's not everyone. Like I said watch and see. The biggest fear is the unknown spread.

    • I truly think we *had* to hire a Canales. Nobody except a nobody wanted this job after the way things unfolded since Tepper took over.  I'd have offered Vrabel a blank check and said congrats, you'll stay the highest paid coach in NFL every year. But I still don't think he would've taken it with the stank we had/have on this franchise.
    • This is something I definitely relate to. I have been saying we have been indoctrinated since year one. Hypnotized. Something. Not sure how to verbalize it. We got used to seeing it. Desensitized lol.  It looks normal now, but the first year and the first couple of games the difference between him and normal NFL QB play that I had been used to watching my entire long life was stark. And as a fan of the team, seeing it was fuging disturbing.  I remember after the first game in September 2023 just being kind of in shock over what I had seen on my TV screen.  And the 3rd game vs Seattle when Dalton played, it looked right again. Major difference. No wonder Frank had ‘that look’.  I noticed that by year two it didn’t seem that way nearly so much. But then I’d watch some other teams play and it was real noticeable.   And I don’t think we really see the arc or trajectory, or the velocity all that well on a telecast with those angles compared to being in the stands. Someone else might opine on that, I have not been in the stands.  I said all along I could see a way it could work, but really didn’t want to watch that kind of ball. And we have kind of done that. Made it work enough to get a playoff game. Here we are.
    • Jamarcus Russell, Ponder, Locker, Fielder. Many examples.
