Locking down is not a political issue, it is a public health issue.

Still waiting for just one quote from an epidemiologist/virologist saying to move back slowly, like you originally claimed before you cowardly edited to a bunch of pointless nonsense.

lol so the AEI and Heritage foundation are both right wing "think tanks" that are referencing the Johns Hopkins paper, which I'm sure you didn't bother reading. For anyone that actually wants to be educated here's the actual link.

The john's hopkins paper is not recommending loosening restrictions. It is outlining HYPOTHETICAL WAYS IT COULD HAPPEN. I just read this for you because I know you're never going to but here's the meat and potatoes.

Quote

States should consider initiating the reopening process when (1) the number of new cases has declined for at least 14 days; (2) rapid diagnostic testing capacity is sufficient to test, at minimum, all people with COVID-19 symptoms, including mild cases, as well as close contacts and those in essential roles; (3) the healthcare system is able to safely care for all patients, including providing appropriate personal protective equipment for healthcare workers; and (4) there is sufficient public health capacity to conduct contact tracing for all new cases and their close contacts.

So no, that in no way is epidemiologists saying taking aggressive measures is over with. That's saying how things COULD move forward AFTER appropriate actions were taken.

Which of course they never were, except in places like NYC.

Yes, appropriate actions were taken, because we already took appropriate actions. We are not NYC.

no they are not.

how many baseless claims are prepared to just throw out in this?

Yes, the CDC is , after the appropriate actions have been taken. Which is still opening up slowly. Do you read your own links? It seems like you just have a different opinion on if "appropriate actions" were taken. Not about opening up slowly.

NFLPA medical director Thom Mayer said the league and union are working on an N95-like device to use on face masks for when players return.

"These modified face masks, which may include some form of either surgical or N95-like material in it, for a player...getting the helmet off, putting the mask right on afterwards, maintaining social distancing when not on the field as much as possible, using single-use hydration whether it be water or Gatorade...just every little detail anybody who's got a risk, I'd advise them to be zealous, religious, and frankly maniacally committed to minimizing the chance of spreading the virus," Mayer said. The league will undoubtedly instill some form of protection for players upon returning, and that likely won't end with upgraded face masks to wear on the field and along the sidelines. Viewers should continue to prepare for a very unique season.

Exactly.  I guess he's been drinking too much.

That's a huge caveat that you're just blowing past since almost NONE of the appropriate actions have been taking to start opening up. Not in Wisconsin, Georgia, or Texas. This has just been republican governors and judges saying "yeah fug it who cares."

you seem to think "do x if y" means "do x....a little"

So have you changed your position from "nobody is recommending that" to "those states are doing it wrong?"

Not really, like I said... this is not a R vs D debate on what actions have been taken. It is matter of opinion if they have are not.

Exactly, I said.. Slow opening is recommended... I never said what the perimeters were to slowly re-open.

Should be a crime personally speaking if they knowingly released fake info in a crisis like this

Right? I’m sure Gov Kemp (who probably should be investigated for rigging the GA election) was just following the lead of his president by altering data and releasing it to the public. Republican leaders make the mistake often that They assume the people they are talking to believe every word they say and follow them blindly. GOP is a cult and a deadly one. Playing with peoples lives.

You'll very rarely find me defending Trump, but even Trump has stated his disagreement with how fast and reckless Georgia has been with their reopening.

TBH, I agree Georgia has opened too fast also. Slow... is the way to go..
