Not excited about the BRIDGEwater, but "it is what it is". I'm hopeful Cam will land on his feet and shows he still has another contract in him.

That said, I'm curious what others think of Cam's value and potential landing spot. Teams are listed alphabetically.

Where he'll end up? No idea. Steelers, 49ers, Raiders, Broncos, Dolphins and Bengals all seem unlikely though.

What we'll get for him? My gut says nada given how the team has mishandled things, but there are still possibilities.

Most accurate answer is probably "not as much as he's worth".

I agree on those teams being unlikely. I included them since their is a chance they are in the QB market. Steelers don't really know if Ben is gonna be back to being Ben, 49ers were reportedly sniffing around Brady, Raiders cuz Gruden wants to collect them all, Broncos cuz it would be poetic, Dolphins and Bengals b/c the draft hasn't happened yet.

If Brady skips LA, could see chargers desperate for qb to sell tickets.  Might get second.  Otherwise not sure Pat's, or bears would offer more than third and that might be contingent on performance.

I could also see a future contingent pick. Something like one pick up front and another if Cam is one the roster next season or something.

I think min value is a 3/4 rounder because any team that takes him will likely recoup that with a compensatory pick should they not bring him back.

Why not Tampa?

I was under the assumption they already have Brady locked up. But if ends up somewhere else (i'd assume Chargers) then they'd very much be in play...Although I think plan B for them is just to bring Jameis back.

i really  hope he goes to the bears so i can have  someone to root for while we suck. im thinking a late round pick just because someone wants first dibs and doesnt wanna get into a bidding war once he's cut, so theyll trade a 5th or so.

The only way the Panthers get a 1st rounder won't be an additional first rounder. It would be a 1st round swap if the Panthers trade Cam to the Chargers or Dolphins. If that happens, I would think we are going Herbert or Tua.

Otherwise, 3rd at best, more likely a 4th-5th.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
