The Panthers have added another low-cost, unproven player to the roster in former Saints wide receiver Keith Kirkwood, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Kirkwood gets a 1-year deal. He'll be reunited with former Saints QB Teddy Bridgewater and coach Matt Rhule, his coach at Temple for three years.

He's a serviceable WR, caught 13 balls in 2018, pulled his hamstring in warmups during Week 2 last year and we never saw him again.

Not a fan of the Saints. Getting tired of the nuthugging of the Saints organization from our staff and front office. Following the Saints to hell is not getting us to the SuperBowl again. They are pathetic and not a role model unless your intention is to become vile and classless. Find better heroes. Smh

And yet which team has gotten closer the last few years? If going to hell gets us another Super Bowl, SIGN ME TF UP.

Hell can't be hotter than Louisiana in the summer anyway, it's probably nicer considering there wouldn't be any humidity.

According to a report by Adam Schefter at ESPN, former Saints wide receiver Keith Kirkwood is signing a one-year deal with the Panthers.

After playing for Matt Rhule at Temple, Kirkwood went undrafted and first signed with the Saints in November of 2018. He started out on their practice squad but he wound up playing in eight games that year, totaling 13 catches (11 of them going for first downs), 209 receiving yards and two touchdowns. For most of the 2019 season he was on the injured reserve list after getting hurt Week 1 against the Texans.

If nothing else, Kirkwood (6-foot-3, 210 pounds) brings familiarity with the system Carolina will be running. At LSU, offensive coordinator Joe Brady used a very similar scheme to the one Sean Payton employs for New Orleans.

Kirkwood is the second free agent wide receiver the Panthers are signing this year. The other is former Raiders and Ravens wideout Seth Roberts.

We actually got there more recently, you guys choked. Kinda like the priests your organization advised at the local diocese. The vile consulting the vile. Good luck with that Karma.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
