Every other team has to draft as well. So some great improvement over anyone is unrealistic. 
 

   You stated rather definitively that the Panthers would NOT be the worst team in the NFL. I just asked for a reason beyond historical hope.

Bridgewater was a move that says we aren't tanking and will be good enough to net us a few wins.  Had we went all in on a rookie this year or just stuck with one of our backups to get a 2021 QB, then yeah, all indicators would have pointed to the worst team.  

Secondly, we have CMC.    

Thirdly, we have a new staff with new systems/plays/tendencies that nobody has seen before in the League.  Element of surprise.  Rivera and staff got to be predictable.

  A QB that no other team would make their starter, for years, is going to lead you out of the light. With a worse than the awful defense that lost the last 8 games last year. All of which CMC was playing in. What’s TB going to look like with a poor OL? Is he 40M better than Allen? 
 

  So the hopes are on a staff with little to no NFL experience, outsmarting the NFL. And you feel this is more realistic than the team with the worst roster being the worst team. Whatever.

Dude,  obviously you are bored.  Take your crystal ball and go play the lottery.  Better yet, tell me exactly how the Steelers are going to do.   I want record, draft picks, full 53-man roster, team MVP, scores an game by game recaps.  See, I can be snarky too.  

We were competitive in all but a handful of games last year with a backup QB, an IR a mile long and those high-priced/household name FAs  (you want to make a case for this FA) that had given up.

Your hunch is no better than mine.  So get off your high horse like you have some grand insight to what the future holds.  I've got a better shot of being right than you.  I said we wouldn't be the worst team, therefore, only ONE team has to be worse than us.  I think those odds are pretty good.

Steelers will do what they always do. Try to win the SB. And they actually get a “franchise” QB back from an almost playoff team with nothing at QB. But I didn’t claim anything about them. So how do this make the Panthers better?

Mine from an outside view with nothing at stake. Which is why I’ve been correct on just about every observation I’ve made about this team. Call it snarky, or whatever. The first game hasn't even been played yet, so how are we the worst team again?  Oh yeah, because you say so.  Homerism?  I'm a homer because I acknowledge this team will be bad, but not as bad as you insist they will be.  Also, you are right on about everything concerning the Panthers?  This is beyond delightful at this point.  Keyboard Nostradamus in our midst folks!!!

No problem. I’ll add it and you to a long list. Please go find anything. It should take you a until the 2017 draft to find me saying CMC wasn’t a top 10 value. There’s one.

I think Spencer Rattler for Oklahoma will be Mahomes 2.0. So, if somehow we win too much this year. I would prefer him in 2022.
