Chad Forbes: "If DJ Moore plays for the 2020 Panthers, I'll be surprised"

This story doesn't check out. Every move made this far is betting on high-upside guys that ostensibly fit the "Process". DJ is a proven asset that, by all accounts, is ready to enter his prime. As questionable as the moves up to this point have been, there's a common thread. This one would be baffling.

IMO there’s only one scenario that this makes any sense.  Philly is starving for a WR and will draft one at 21.  Rookie WRs have checkered histories being able to come in and produce immediately. Philly is ready to win and is willing to trade 21 for a proven WR.  Rhule has direct experience with a WR valued as a late first/early second who he feels fits the offense better.  So he essentially trades Moore for Mims and gets two more years on a rookie contract.  You probably wouldn’t want to do this until draft night with the proviso that we’ll trade if our guy is there.

if he can generate trade capital and we can grab jeudy at #7, then by all means. I did trade him to New England for a 1st in Madden but it was like two seasons down the road from now when he was rated like 93.

Well it’s settled then.

When has Rhule suggested this?

I have been a fan of this offseason, but trading Moore would be one of the dumbest moves in this franchise's history.

And that is saying something.  We'd need a 1st round pick in return at least.

Let’s see if you’re still a fan of it as we spend the next 4 years at the bottom of the division.

Lol what a dumb post.

Nobody knows how this team will perform 4 years from now.  Stop overreacting.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
