So how many players do they draft from colleges in Texas, in the Big 12, or straight up from Baylor?

Matt Rhule clearly loves working with people he's worked with before. Many coaches on the staff is someone he worked with in some capacity at some point. Even guys like special teams coordinator Chase Blackburn who stayed on through the regime change.

How many drafted players will be guys he might Texas guys he might have recruited while at Baylor? Guys who he played against in the Big 12? Will we see him draft any of his own players from Baylor?

I think it will be more prevalent with UDFA.  With things the way they are, I think it's actually an advantage, because they will know the system.  So I would expect LSU offensive and Baylor defensive players to be heavily involved in training camp invites and UDFA.

That describes literally every coach since the beginning of time

I'm not sure there is a coach who doesn't . Just look around the league throughout history

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
