Nah.  You don't have that effect on me or anyone, I can assume, which probably explains the pointless posts.  Calling people stupid is a dickish thing to do--it is not called for and I am fairly certain you have not cornered the market on intelligence.

It's the internet not a d*ck you should learn not to take it so hard

This offense has potential to be one of the best offenses in panthers history. We have an mvp in Christian mccaffrey, we got the most dangerous receiving core in the nfl , bet you can’t name a better starting 3 then dj Moore , Robby Anderson and Curtis Samuel and now add in a hungry Ian Thomas which has shown potential in the past and I think he will be a break out player. Our offensive is an upgrade over last year only weak point is Pardis in my opinion, Turner was a bad loss but we won That trade because a solid lt is worth more then a solid guard and we upgraded the left tackle spot while added Competition to the guard position right tackle we are solid with Taylor moton . Qb is an upgrade not only over Kyle Allen but cam newton . Teddy Bridgewater is a better qb and a better passer then cam . Sure we all love cam because of 2015 but he was not an accurate passer and not as good fit for Matt rhules pass friendly offense that’s based on timing and accuracy, cam is a big arm and a running qb so it wouldn’t work out anyway.
and the best of all people keep forgetting we have 2 of the best offensive minded coaches from college football in rhule and joe Brady ! They will out scheme a lot of the coaches and will rely on analytics. This is going to be a fun offensive team this season . No doubt about it . We’re not rebuilding this is a playoff team people keep hyping up Tampa and New Orleans but there qbs are old and overrated . We have major potential to surprise the whole nfl and become that next dynasty . I’m expecting a season like the rams had a couple years ago when Sean mcveigh first game . I think we’re a similar team to them .

Jesus Christ, what are we doing here?

Long time Saints fan here, I gotta say I'm legit scared of you're offense this year. I think Bridgewater is a game manager but you have the best back in the league so that's all you need. San Francisco has a game manager and was only a few key plays away from winning the Superbowl. Titans made the post season with a game manager. You guys lost 5 games by a TD or less last year I think. I gotta say it's fun watching this dude too

I originally thought Kamara was better but been proven wrong after last year Kamara ran soft too. With Bridgewater now there I gotta say I wouldn't be mad if you guys made it to the postseason. Last time I rooted for the Panthers is when local guy Delhomme took you guys to the Superbowl. Can't believe we let him go back in the day lol

You mean you'd rather have the guy that is injury prone, over the hill, inconsistent and not a good fit for Brady's offense?  Lol

They both played the Seahawks in the postseason at a young age. Cam lost the first matchup by throwing picks, he won the 2nd one by playing like Teddy, conservative. The only difference was Jonathan Stewart was more effective running the ball than a 30 year old Peterson who got 45 yards on 23 carries. Teddy Bridgewater can also light up bad defenses like the Cardinals defenses Cam faced in the postseason. See the Saints Bucs game last year lol

Teddy is better than Cam working the field from behind the line of scrimmage - 10 yards down field.

Teddy by nature is a check down QB IMO.

A reasonably healthy Cam is a better player though

Which suits the offense we'll be running.

People really should pump the brakes though. I'll be happy to see improvement, but our OL doesn't exactly inspire confidence and if we're being honest, for all the hype we don't really know how good Brady will be.

I'm willing to conceded that Teddy might be a better fit for Rhule's/Bradys system. But I'll never agree that "Bridgewater is a better qb and a better passer then cam". Thank you for explaining yourself. I think that this is an electrifying offense that will put up 40 points a game, I just hope that our D can keep other teams from putting up 50!

nice post. I went back and counted, and yeah, 5 games by 8 points or less and that was with a defensive minded HC, a dinosaur for a OC (ironically he was a huge upgrade), an undrafted back up QB, and Daley playing a lot of LT. Our offense will be better, IMO. still waaaaay to early to judge our D, but even if they are not much worse than last year, not a lofty goal, we will win games.

Thank you for playing nicely.

it has potential to be good, only thing is missing is a QB. if only we had an mvp caliber player

I'm fairly certain that if the front office/coaches still saw Cam as a mvp caliber player (I assume that's what you meant), he'd be on the roster. I fear Cam may be more broken than we know.

Also, there's alot to be said about the OP's assertion that TB might be a better fit for this system.

    • In my view, the realistic expectation for this team to compete will start 2027.  At that time, I think we could be looking at the following (this is HIGHLY speculative):   QB:  You know, Bryce.  I am not a fan, but they don't ask me.  But there is reason for hope--and here it is.  Bryce will be entering his prime.  Since we are likely to pay him, there will be changes that I include throughout this exercise--I realistically speculate on what they are going to do with Bryce and then I realistically speculate on what means in terms of the cap and other positions. Bryce HAS IMPROVED.  The idea is that if you give him more weapons and protection, that will continue.  His career:   At this rate, if his growth continues, by 2027 we should expect nearly 30 TDs and about 12 Interceptions and a Rating of about 98.  His completion percentage should settle at 65-66% or so.  If that happens, you can win with it. The following stats demonstrate how the Panthers will be able to afford it (and re-sign Ickey) My guess is they will require about $60m per year. This is why rookies who can play are important.  It also helps us see the blueprint.  You may disagree, but this is the cruel realities of the salary cap. Robert Hunt:  Cut post June 1 and save $19m.  Who do you replace him with?  Ickey. Tershawn Wharton:  Cutting him saves nearly $15m.  We should all hope to see Aaron Hall (UDFA) make the roster and play well.  Regardless, this is a position we would likely have to address in the next draft. Trevin Moehrig:  Cutting Moehrig as the starting SS saves this team $16.5m.   Ransom will be on year 3 of a cheap rookie deal and should be more than ready to take the reins.  their styles are similar.  Furthermore, FS Wheatley (R, 4th round) will be starting. Taylor Moton:  So much depends on his knee, but I have an idea that he can play another 3 years.  extending him could save the team about $5m per year.  Cutting him outright would save the team about $21m. In the most drastic situation, we have to cut Moton and the other three players mentioned.   We would need (in all likelihood) a starting DT and RT.  It is possible that the DE would be addressed, but Wharton's production (so far) could be equaled by a rookie.  Look for a cut free agent and a 2027 draft pick here.  If you cut Moton, you save $21m, and that would be the only big hole to fill.  Having Ickey at RG gives you some depth at T, and Ickey could be the guy.  T could be pick in the 2027 draft (first round), fwiw.  It saves you $21m while costing you $5m, for example. We get younger, creating a core of Freeling, Hecht, and the RT first rounder in 2027) along with Ekownu (second contract in the $15m range, and Lewis, whose contract would be in the $16m range if not extended.)  The OL cuts (Hunt, Moton) would save $40m.  The OL would get younger and still solid with veterans at G.   By cutting Wharton (no brainer if his play stays the same) and Moehrig (good player--but we have Ransom on a rookie contract who would not be that much of a drop off--if any) in addition to Hunt and Moton, we would save over $70m in cap room. We would be able to give Bryce bag  and we would have enough to re-sign Ickey (if the knee is not too risky) to a Guard contract (probably at a discount, coming off that injury).  Furthermore, we could add a RT in the draft (or a RG if Ickey moves to RT) and that would be the only large hole to fill. Correct my logic if you see issues-- On defense, in addition to the aforementioned, Scott ($2m contract) is out, replaced by a 4th round rookie contract. CB Jackson's contract ($7.8m) expires and he is (possibly) replaced by a rookie contract.  At Edge, patrick Jones II's $10m contract expires and he is likely a reserve, and his role is absorbed by Phillips, Scourton, Princely, and possible an UDFA like Isaiah Smith or a 2027 draft pick.   These productive developmental players over the past 2 drafts will pay huge dividends.  On paper, I see the team getting much younger and possibly better while cutting nearly $100m and reallocating that money to get more production.
    • If everything played out and that last thing happened, I probably just quit.
