So I was perusing online for cornhole sets for when this whole social distancing thing gets relaxed and I came across this site (one of several) selling Panthers themed cornhole sets:

https://www.fanatics.com/nfl/carolina-panthers/tailgate-and-party-games/o-1361+t-47931335+d-97553589-9792+z-9-1529650705

The depressing part is this: Note that under player shops, Teddy Bridgewater is listed, so the site has been updated since his signing, yet 3 of the 4 top players listed in the top players section are no longer with the team. Sign of the times I guess.

Unrelated...Does anyone have a hefty bag's worth of black tar heroine I could mainline? No reason.

We’ve averaged 7 wins in the past 5 years. This isn’t depressing, this is exciting. Growing pains can be hard for the fanboys, emotionally attached and instant gratification people but generally speaking as a fan of the team - change was needed and the willingness to change, something the Panthers FO has never tried or embraced, is good, very good.

Damn you made me want a cornhole set wish I had an extra $300 lying around :(

I see where you're coming from, but I doubt many people would attribute the poor records of late to Newton, Kuechley and Olsen, the 3 players who are no longer with the team but still listed as top players.  I'm definately willing to see what the new regime brings and I agree wholeheartedly it was needed, it's just hard to see those guys go is all. Mostly I made this thread for a goof.

We've actually averaged 8.8 wins the last 5 years. But I agree with your point overall.

Was just thinking from 2015 so poor math.

the last four seasons is what I meant to say*

though I must say not sure if throwing in the best season in panther history nearly undefeated in there can bump us up the to a measly average 8 wins is all that great though

but hey we aren’t the browns right? should be our new team chant after wins (and losses)

Exactly. I don't care if this year is a poo show just as long as it's a different poo show than we've been watching for the last 17 years.

But wouldn't it still be poo, ultimately?

What makes this poo show better? Texture? Smell?

It’s a poo show with amateur actors vs. a poo show with academy award winners.

It’s in the name of getting better not in the name of status quo.

growing pains vs. complacency

Whole lot of CMC and Panther logos in our future as far as merch options. There literally isn't another player that is worth putting on anything except jerseys.

Only time will tell my brothers and sisters, BUT I  can see a not too distance day, where Burns, Chinn, Brown could grace a Carolina cornhole board.

Hopefully one day but not today. Add Moore to that list too.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
