We have one player who can actually sell jerseys now instead of 4-5.  Covid losses.  Knowing the loss of revenue without fans in the stands is coming.  They're probably trying to get every dime they can from fans bored and online shopping. Which, also is weird since Nike hasn't really dropped much of anything new last time I checked. Most of the shirts/apparel is more of the same or just garbage now. 

Still kind of wonder if the rumored new/re-designed uniforms were in the works for 2020, but with the lack of marketable stars we held off until next year.  No point selling new uniforms if the only person to really buy now is CMC.  Draft a QB next year, let Moore become more of a household name, young defensive rookies maybe become fan favorites, and then new uniforms come to help the team store and merch sells rebound.

Not paying attention? They slurp New Orleans ooozings. They see New Orleans as a beautiful woman while real Panther fans see the Aints as a drunken mistress.

The owner (who was wearing black and yellow and didn't know what a Panther was about and probably hated Cam like the rest of the league did until now) came in and saw NO have the upper hand and thought, hey, that's a good role model. No, not a good role model for a once superior franchise.

Couple things here.

1:  My wife is a Panthers fan.  We go to at least 1 away game per year, and usually two, while sprinkling in a home game if possible.  She plays in at least 3 fantasy leagues, and owns quite a few jerseys.  She can, off the top of her head, name 1 Panther.  CMC.  She remembered KK when I told her, but she had forgotten him as well.  DJ stirred up some excitement as well, but she couldn't name him off hand.  That's a problem....to her, and many fans like her.

 

2:  We are likely the worst team in our division....again.  We have had 3 straight years of disappointment, and the biggest splash we made this offseason was hiring a coach casual fans had never heard of, and has rarely walked an NFL sideline, hired what many view as a game manager, and kept a GM around (yet again) who seems to be imitating an anchor as best he can....oh, and we drafted a DT in the top 10, while potentially messing up our ability to get a top rated QB in the draft next year, and blowing up our cap for no reason.

 

So, you have the really invested fan pretty apathetic toward the team and their upcoming season or two, and the casual fans who don't need one hand to count all the players on the team they even know the name of. 

 

Don't smell real good.

Cam accepting a small deal after nobody wanted to trade or sign him has nothing to do eith Tepper.

I disagree with this notion to be honest.

In Cams situation, there is a lot of blame to go around, and a lot of folks share in that blame.

To be fair, I'm getting emails from the Saints Pro Shop on a nearly daily basis as well so it's more than likely a league-wide deal as opposed to one particular franchise hurting to sell merchandise... except the Falcons. Nobody with half of a brain wants to wear those rags whether they were on sale or not.

We already saw the Panthers as an expansion franchise didn't need to see THAT movie all over again.

The David Sepper didn't see it so we all have to watch it all over again, while the Patriots go marching on.

They can't stand the realness? Did JR ever lowball like this? Not our fault they look foolish at times.
