I wouldnt be quick to judge Burns off this game. I can almost guarantee double digit sacks by the end of the season. Esp. If his snap count is high.

If you watched, he was a step away from a sack and possible strip sack twice. The problem was Carr releasing the ball in 2 seconds every play.

Only players that went unnoticed imo were YGM and KK Short. YGM is a rook so he gets the benefit of the doubt and I'd expect Short plans to redeem himself against Tampa. He was literally non-existent.

I agree. I thought Burns was ok today. In fact his athleticism showed on his pursuit in the run game. He has tons of upside and didn’t necessarily hurt us today playing in a new scheme. Color me optimistic.

Where was Brown and Short?  I guess they didn't make any stupid plays so they were ok.  Short had 4 tackles and Brown other than the batted down pass what did our first round pick do this afternoon?  Normal 3 tackle day.  1 solo tackle ,1 tackle for loss, and 1 pass deflection.  Ummmm....nothing more but an average day for a DT.  I thought that with Short and Brown we were going to have a stud Dline?   https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=401220370

Burns was being manhandled by bigger linemen today, his speed wasn't paying off.

The Raiders O-line was as advertised and one of the best in the league in many opinions. Let's see how he does next week. They may need to get some stunts going to get him free. Too many times he went to the line and got locked onto.

Agreed on next week and just needing to see him more, but the Raiders starting RT left in the 1st quarter. Then, the backup got hurt.

We couldn't get pressure against the 3rd string, a backup guard who kicked over to RT.  Not...good.
