Stop whining and get ready for the long haul

Y'all wanted the team blown up, well it was, and this is what the result is. Stop whining. Our defense is going to be historically bad and our offense can maybe be competent at best.

We're 3-5 years away from being competitive. Buckle in for a long rebuild, like Tepper has been talking about for months now. He wasn't joking.

Anyone expecting us to compete for anything serious this season was expecting too much, evaluate players and enjoy. we are year 1 of a 3 year rebuild as I mentioned after we signed our Free Agents, you could see that all their contracts are targeted to expire within 3 years, that wasnt a mistake.

My only thing to whine about was they cut loose Cam Newton who had only 1 year left on his deal for Teddy Bridgewater and his noodle arm garbage and I wish they’d either kept Cam or gone with a young inept QB with the intention of being terrible to get Lawrence. They did some half assed in between crap

I was hoping for better play calling this game but guess that was asking for too much

You were hoping for better than 30 points today? Was it playcalling at fault for TB overthrowing a simple screen play to CMC by about eight yards? Was it playcalling at fault for Teddy running away from pressure and somehow forgetting it was still on his tail for a fumble? Special teams playcalling did hurt us with the fake punt. I’ll give you that one. The other issues are TB at fault.

Completely agree with you. Everyone just enjoy the positives we see out of the team this year.

There are none, that's the issue so far. I'm fine with us sucking and losing most our games and getting first overall pick, but at least show something fuging good. Nothing yet

None? Not a single player has been a pleasant surprise or a positive on the entire roster? Every loss is a step closer to getting a real QB in this draft. Brady has called a fine two weeks so far. Teddy shot us in the foot today twice in big ways but the playcalling itself had been fine.

I think Brady is still finding the strengths of his players, and what plays work and which ones don't.

I can see that just wanted to see him open up the playbook a little, but its understandable to try and feel things out a bit. Really want Daley to heal up and get out there to get some reps and experience, need some competent Oline badly.

    • I see Bryce's development this way: He improved when his supporting cast improved.  TMac and Dowdle saved his arse last year, but in fairness, most good QBs have good WRs and good RBs--and good OLs.   The 2025 OL underperformed, actually. They were above average, but they should have been elite if you consider the salary cap.   As soon as we signed Lewis and Hunt, I started thinking, "That's not sustainable.  With Ickey about to get paid a LT salary, Moton and Hunt grabbling $50m per season combined, and Lewis around $17m--that would be nearly $100m and the Center just walked.  Yikes.  What does that mean?  Rico walks, Mays walks, and we do not have a top 5 WR on a second contract.  We do not have an elite TE, and only 1 is on a modest second contract. And now Bryce will demand $50m for his incremental rise to mediocrity?   So when we sign Bryce, we will get weaker at other positions.  Hunt, Moton, maybe Ickey and Lewis, will all be casualties--that is the right move regardless (not sure yet about Ickey, but he was not elite) Bryce is one lucky, entitled camper.  No competition since being drafted, and he lost his job for a while to the aging clipboard holder.  Now we are bringing in UDFAs and busts to compete with him.
    • Probably not.  If we are taking a QB, it would be a prospect to replace Bryce and not a flyer type player.  I can't say for sure, but I doubt he would have cracked the top 3-4 QBs even if he were to play this coming season.
    • The Giants, Cardinals  and Dolphins should have moved on, but they didn't and ended up cutting their QB early into a monster second contract and had to eat a TON of dead cap money.
