Doubted Tepper and Rhule

Give credit when credit is due. I guess Tepper had the right man in mind to coach this team. We wouldn't have won a game like this with the previous staff.

He brought the man in and let him pick his coaching staff, his QB and it is working. Good foundation to build further on and with a few more players in the draft and FA.....this team will be solid for seasons to come.

Never expected it. After watching this team sh$t the bed for season after season....tide may finally be turning.

Is it crazy to have a position that, after 5 games, the arrow is steadily pointing up but it's also perfectly reasonable to consider the jury still out? And to not feel the need to try to rush to any conclusions at this point and just enjoy things as they are?

Still early but yes I think Rhule is an excellent hire. We haven’t seen a team play with this level of compose and discipline. Maybe Fox  had it for a few years but then he became lame duck.

Riveras teams were driven way too much by emotion and momentum. Rhule seems to operate with a lot of confidence and intelligence despite disparities in talent.

We just really need to fix the run defense. Aside from that we look really solid. I know we have a lot to be desired defensively but you have to give those guys credit for getting the turnovers to make up for it.

Exactly this. The full 16 game season will tell the story. Especially in terms of Bridgewater.

Is this really reality to give Marty no credit for this at all??

Is it really that hard or is it this much hate not to see anyway Hurney did a good job??

Geez, you related? Tell us what Marty did differently this year from the past two years of awfulness that wasn’t directly related to Rhule and Co. I saw someone try to give him credit for Anderson LOL when Anderson espoused at how much love he felt for Rhule.

Marty’s mediocre and sorry, but I give 99% of the credit for this team to Rhule, Brady and the rest of the coaching staff. This team is playing well above the talent level we started the season with and that’s coaching. I 100% want a better GM because in 2 years our coaches knowledge of the college players will be the same as every other staff.

Still not sold on Snow I don't know what his obsession is with the 3 man rush. It doesn't work ya even if you are trying to cover your back end, the only way they didn't connect on the 3 man rush was when the WR dropped the ball. It really didn't help the run game either, massive gaps.

Agreed. If LA loses to the Saints, the teams we lost to are 6-4 and the teams we beat will be 4-11. That said, I give a ton of credit to coaching. Our secondary and LBers and OL still have a lot of holes. Scheme (hey Ron and Mike, I’m talking about you) can hide deficiencies and we are doing that really well. If we were to play Baltimore, KC (have been a little suspect, almost lost to LAC as well, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, GB or Seattle, we wouldn’t win because we still have those holes. I think we might be one more good draft away although we could lose almost our entire OL to FA.

It’s early and while we played better than I thought we would at this point, we haven’t beat a good team yet. Arizona is 3-2 but beat the Jets 0-5, Washington 1-4 (beat 1 win Philly) and SF 2-2 losing 24-7 to Miami right now.

Again, I think the coaching job has been phenomenal and we are way better than I thought we’d be and we just have 3-4 spots on D and the IOL (if we can resign Ts) to be a real contender. Luckily, Brady and Brees are almost done and Matty sucks. As long as Atlanta doesn’t get Lawrence and a competent coach we aren’t far from owning the division.

    • Give me Anthony Hill Jr or give me death
    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
