Certainly you didn't think we're good enough to win anything more than a ticket to the dance. Even if we are lukewarm, that's better than what most reasonable people expected, which is room temperature. Many even said we'd be ice cold. So enjoy the surprise ride! We're still rebuilding! Still growing! Still developing! Still figuring things out! But, we're still further along than most dreamed we'd be after 6 games!

Why can't you understand that does us no good.

It means no QB this year

No top MLB

No top LT

No top C

It impacts every round.

This is missing a key takeaway and data point. Regardless of the circumstances, and Teddy didn't play his best today, he failed to drive to a win. That was his failure as a QB. These are what differentiates franchise guys from the rest and while it's only one game, the overall sample size is small. This is a big negative within the current dataset.

Franchise guys throw untimely interceptions. I think y'all are holding Teddy to a higher standard than you would most because you want him gone due to perceived limitations.

I don't think so at all. I think it's more that Teddy doesn't have a CV of these types of wins to show that this is an aberration and not his ceiling.

Rodgers is playing like crap today for example, but it's clearly an anomaly. In his first year as a starter though there would be those asking questions, and Teddy isn't a rookie.

I'm not drawing conclusions, just sharing a perspective.

I see that as the ultimate excuse and coming from a perspective of weakness and desparation as opposed to strength and excellence.

Teams, good and bad, draft players in every position of every draft. The fact is that impact players come all throughout the first round (and other rounds I might add). If a team can't draft a quality player in the first round, then something's most definitely wrong.

Yeah, we fans hope/expect Ted to do better in crunch time than he did today.

Show me a NFL QB that hasn't had a down day.

If TB makes a habit of it, I'll eventually call for his head.

As you say, the sample size is still small.

The story of TB's time in Carolina is still being written.

Some claim to know how TB's story ends.

I'm not convinced they do.

Agreed overall. The complication withTeddy is that he also has the 2 years starting in Minnesota. It was a world ago given the injury and his time as a backup but it is evidence of the player he can become. Where it gets complicated is in how that dated evidence is interpreted and weighted.

You are so dense. It's not about 1 quality player.

Number 1 this year gives us a franchise qb plus minimum 2 other starters.

Agreed.

I'm gonna give Teddy this season to demonstrate whether or not he has what it takes.

For crying out loud...can you knuckleheads not get it?

This is a very young and promising team. Defense needs only to be tweaked a bit to be solid for a long long time. On offense, the only thing that is needed is overhauling the line. Coaches are legit.

And this negativity about Teddy...is childish and more importantly is simply wrong. Guy has hardly any time to throw. Coaches know more than the negative basement dwellers in this forum.  Guy has the goods...and again, the coaches know it. So stop it with the hate...just makes you look real dumb. He, like all QBs, just needs an average pass protection. And that will come next year.

Panthers are building. This will take two more years. Read that again: this...will...take...two...more...years. So don’t get snot-nosed and throw a temper tantrum when they lose for the next few seasons...because it will happen...a lot.

They are set in all areas except the O-line and tightening some defense screws. So, take a seat and have a slice of pie. Panthers will own the South in three (maybe even two) years.

A major problem is that everyone is in this "you're either with me or against me" mentality. It's not just this board, it's society in general. You can't even have middle ground opinions anymore without being crucified for it. We also lean towards one extreme or the other. Something that is normal or average is blown out of proportion to align it with that person's agenda.
