bruised ribs are no joke.  Hurts like hell for a couple of days, but fades fairly quickly.  Tripped in some low flood waters while carrying a long maglight, and fell on it.  Didn't hurt a lot at the moment, but the next day....

Called an old girlfriend who was a respiratory specialist, she told me to get an xray just in case there was a splinter because it could puncture a lung.  I did.  It was just a bruise.  

But I remember that pain from the bruise.  Just turning your upper torso to look another direction can take your breath away.

Wait what did you see? It was clearly his ribs.. did I miss something?

At least it sounds like it's only a rib injury and nothing more serious.

Bad enough rib injury makes it extremely difficult to breathe though.

Had one about twenty years ago. They suuuuuck.

you can tell who hasn't broken/badly bruised their ribs.  god awful.  0/10.  would not buy again

I had noticed him as one of the buy low, high potential types this offseason so was happy we got him.  Really hope it's nothing serious.

I was thinking the same when it happened and then they put him on the cart to take him off the field. Probably cracked one unfortunately.

Yea that’s what I was worried about. He looked more than capable of getting up and walking away and then they stopped him and made him wait. Could have just been the staff being cautious.
