Yeah, if Hurney is still the GM next year that means he's been extended as GM and... well, oh wee mayne.

Just make him president or something. idk. If it was me I'd show him he door again but for some reason Tepper seems to want to keep him around.

True Story: I was working at a movie theater in college when First Contact was released. No one else wanted the poster, so I took it, shaved off the top portion with the tagline:

Resistance is Futile

..had a buddy in the wood shop mount it on a nice piece of wood and put it on the wall above the headboard to my bed. My gf at the time was not amused. @#$% her if she can't take a joke. Which I did.

Sell it to Ben Roethlisberger.

I had high hopes for Weatherly  wrote the season started. Saying his play this year has been mediocre would be an exaggeration.

Sad bc he seems like a great team guy and maybe just needed a change of scenery to get his shot as a starter.

He has gotten his shot as the starter. His snaps are starter snaps. He’s been one of the worst starting DEs. That’s what happens when a backup in good DLs has a couple flashes. We overpaid a bunch of backups and got little to nothing on most.

I hope not, hopefully we are deeper on defense next year than we are this year

I think they have 26 free agents coming in 2021. (    https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/carolina-panthers/   )People talk about having cap space, but if they tag Moton(they should) its going to goto zero. Add in a few cuts and the number is 30 spots open with around 45 million in space.... they will need all the super cheap additions possible ie UDFAs and PS players. May need about 8 of them, one of rhules focus is development and its a big need come 2021. Panthers may be trade back a few times to get more picks also, 30 is a huge number to fill with only 45 million.

If you resign Samuel and Moton, rookie cap pool, and keep 5-8 million for in-season. That would leave 20 spots for less than 15 million. Ive said this a few times, team is faaaar away form being stable. Need 2 full years after this one and they may get by with lots of luck. So far hitting on Rhule and his staff is bringing lots of luck, he just needs 2 more full season to build this.
