On the plus side we are won win away from being 9th on the playoff bubble. Unfortunately, Chicago has the tie breaking over us.

One win from 9th? Only 7 teams make it. Minnesota will likely have 5 wins tonight as well. Don’t forget we’ve played an extra game and lost.

We aren’t out of it, but we aren’t close to contention. We can’t win the division and we can’t chase down Tampa. That leaves 2 possibly slots for us. The Rams have 4 less losses than us with 7 games to play so let’s put them in one of the two. That means we have to pass Minnesota, Chicago and Arizona. Also, don’t forget SF is a half game ahead of us as well. Detroit still is but they are garbage. 6 games left for us to try and gain 3 games on those teams.

It was a good win but it still does more to hurt our draft pick than help out playoff shot. I could see us finishing 6-10 now but there are so many 3-4 win teams.

And I'm tired of it. We've shown early on in our history that we can get to big games. With the right people in the building, there's no reason we can't be an above average franchise.

Gotta get Marty out of the building.

Of course, if we don't replace him with somebody better...

Right smack in the middle of mediocrity

It would be 1 win and a cardinals or LA loss from being on the bubble besides the bears tiebreaker over us if they lose.

If we can win the next two, probably lose to GB and win V Washington with a few losses by the bears and one of the NFCW teams we could be in potential playoff territory going into week 17. Obvious if we lose the next two or to Washington we will be reduced to middle of mediocrity.

Not a good day for us draft wise.

Cincy is now locked in with 2-3 wins

Jaguars are locked in with 3 or less wins

Atlanta loses against no Brees

Detroit, Philly and NE all lose

Houston and Washington win but stay one ahead of us since we won. We are 11th right now but all 4 of the 4 win teams would get ahead of us if they tie. Just going based on # of wins, we’d be 15th. Probably 14th since Minnesota should beat a Dakless Dallas.

Still a lot of football to be played. A lot of the NFC East teams still play each one another and a lot of the the other bad teams have matchups against other bad teams. Just looking at our schedule I think we get to six. We are good enough to win more and bad enough to lose more too, but I think 6 is the number. Looking back at past drafts that usually gets you anywhere from 8-12 depending on the draft. We were never gonna be bad enough to compete with the Jets and Jags, but we will at least be in striking distance for a QB like Lance, Wilson, Trask, if that is the move.

Who is the third loss? I assume you are counting the saints and packers. Minny? Thats why I say if we can beat minny next week. If we don't we basically don't have a chance at anything but middle of the pack picking 15th.

Here's a question:

Are the Steelers really this good or is that bubble gonna pop at some point?

Haven't they had one of the easiest schedules? Only Cleveland, Baltimore and Tennessee have had winning records when they played I believe. 4 of their next six games are against teams with winning records.

Yes. I’m giving us Denver and Washington but a loss @ Minnesota. Even if we beat Minnesota 7-9 will not get us by Chicago and Arizona.
