Who all would you resign?

Now that we have enough film to really analyze what we have on the roster for who we try to resign. With a decent amount of notable names becoming FA's, I would like to know your realist MUST signees, and the ones you want resigned but just probably can't make it work within our budget. Here are a few notable names just off the top of my head and please add anyone I left off

  • Russel Okung
  • Mike Davis
  • John Miller
  • Tahir Whitehead (lol)
  • Curtco
  • Michael Schofield
  • Chris Reed (lol)
  • Pharaoh Cooper
  • T Moton
  • Rasul Douglas
  • Corn Elder
  • Joey Slye
  • JJ Jansen
  • Efe Obada

Unfortunately Mike Davis has beat up on far too many offenses for us to get him for the cheap so I think he ultimately will leave. Corn Elder is someone that is slept on that I hope we lock up for sure though. My top 5 must sign go in this order personally.

1. Taylor Moton

2. Curtis Samuel

3. Rasul Douglas

4. John Miller or Joey slye

5. Corn Elder

Love to hear your thought and let's all enjoy this huge win for this young and flourishing team/coaching staff! #KeepPounding

moton, samuel, and slye are the only must-signs based on the free agent market next season. the rest can be plugged in pretty easily if they're too costly to keep.

i would like to see us keep mike davis and rasul douglas if they'll come cheap, though the latter becomes expendable if we draft someone or pick up a big FA, which i hope we do.

I agree completely.

I agree with your list except I’d replace Elder with Obada and also try to fit in Mike Davis. Wouldn’t bid against other teams if it came to that though.

Nothing against Cooper but I've seen nothing from him but sluggishness, dude looks like he's running in work boots.

Much better than the years after Ginn and before Cooper where we had bums and even Sunshine back there muffing punts. He's a sure handed return man with a pro bowl under his belt. If it's for cheap I definitely want him back.

Ray Ray Mccloud currently leads the league in punt return average and is top 5 in return yardage for the steelers

I was tempted to put Obada in there as well, he's the definition of a hard nose player that Rhule wants in Carolina so I think we resign him for sure. I'd love the 2 headed monster of Davis and CMC for a full year, just thinking a team gives him more money in the end. (Hope I'm wrong in that though).

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
