I always think of Beason with the Achilles.  Guy was one of the best MLBs in the nfl over the span of a few seasons, torn achilles literally ended his explosiveness and essentially ended his career, it was depressing seeing someone so good just not physically able to make the plays anymore.

that was over a decade ago

orthopedic medicine is basically star trek compared to then

:( please for the love of baby yoda be healthy Moore

Don’t care if he’s healthy for this year, just concerned about if it’s a major injury. If it’s bad calf strain that keeps him out 5 weeks, who cares. If it’s a major surgery with a long recovery and possible future issues that’s a whole different animal. OK with the former, please god not the latter.

This. This season is toast. I just hope he hasn't suffered an injury that will seriously impact his future. An Achilles in particular is usually a career killer. Most guys are a shadow of their former selves coming back from that injury.

How do we not know anything about Moore yet? David Newton tweeted an ankle injury soon after the game and that's it.

Been checking for updates and haven't seen anything.  And again, I assume the longer we without news, the worse the prognosis probably is.  The fact he grabbed towards his calf/lower leg above the heel but they're calling it an ankle injury is pretty telling I think.

Just found this while looking for an update and hadn't heard or seen this detail otherwise.

Moore left the field on a cart with trainers and didn't return, as there were only a few minutes left in the fourth quarter when he got hurt.

Have a bad feeling about this one. Looks like an achilles to be and then way he grabbed for his calf/ankle would indicate as such. Just hate it for him more than anything and hope I am wrong. Teddy makes a halfway competent throw, hits DJ in stride and we are in a much different place than we are now.

prayers up for DJ - hoping whatever it is he can make his way back and pick up where he left off.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
