Not in the first round. He’s a late first, early second prospect.

I think he's later than that but still don't mind him, he's versatile and seems like a Derrick Brown of offense type of guy (solid player all around, not flashy, team leader type of guy)

Over the next few months, I will be saying different things because I try to argue every possible perspective to keep from becoming closed minded or failing to consider all options.  I will be berated and called a hypocrite.  However, I warn everyone from falling in love with any player or position.  And there are times I am presenting what I think THEY are going to do, based on clues and hints.

So based on what I am hearing, I am pretty certain that we will take a QB in this draft in the first round.   Having said that, I think they will be testing the waters to see what the other teams before them are going to do-putting together trade packages to use if necessary. This draft might be all offense.  Not kidding, especially if we have to trade up.

Oh, so you finally figured out what a portion of fans have known since this past off-season when the Panthers signed Bridgewater?

Pick 5, and forced to trade up this off-season for a QB because of it.

SHOCKING.

if Fields or Wilson are not there at 8, and the price is too high, then we trade up and LOAD up our offensive line. We can trade back in the 20's (grab another 2nd and maybe 2022 pick) and draft 3 OL in the first 2 rounds.

Honestly, that's what I think too. But I'll be honest reading those comments, the first name that came to mind about the toughness,  not lasting down the stretch, etc. was CMC. It very well may not have been intended, but damn if it didn't fit like a glove.

If CMC ends up being one of those guys that eases up once he has received his big contract, I would re-hire Hurney just so I could fire him again.

You just illustrated my point.  So that is what you derived from my post? Tell me, you say "what a portion of fans have KNOWN..."  What exactly do you know?  Do you mean "assumed?"  Isn't it really your opinion, which carries the weight of dung vapor?  Let me help you--yes.  Besides, my point was to dismiss what you think and start considering all the options that could be considered.  Then you make a post that suggests only what "a portion of fans" (I assume you mean the omniscient, predetermined visionaries) have "known" all along.

You missed the point and chose to respond anyway.  I do not have time to teach you reading comprehension and the difference between "knowing" and "opining".

ah yes, definitely talking about the OL

Okung 33, Paradis 31, Schofield 31, Reed 29-- I see your point.  Of those mentioned 3 are gone and they will probably look to get rid of Paradis post June 1--so getting younger on the OL could not possibly have been what he was referencing.

Do you think a coach would make a comment like that about his starting QB before the draft?  No--he wouldn't.  He said the right thing about Teddy--he started strong, leveled off, and regressed.  He said Teddy needs to work harder int he offseason and get stronger.  You want competition at QB, and he is in the mix--in fact, he may start because we will probably draft a 21-year old rookie.  You do not publicly threaten his job.  Use some coach logic and stop with the fan drivel.

Did he say he was talking about the first round pick?  (A: No)

Keep Moton, pay the market price. Then keep Miller and Reed if we can. Time to let Paradis walk and Okung can go back to crypto world and enjoy himself.

Grab the best LT available in the draft as high as is practical, look at a center as well. Definitely draft a TE or look for one of the best that will be out there in free agency this year.

If Mike Remmers can be a starting tackle on the Chiefs, we can surely make a decent offensive line here.

No.  This is a place where you discuss things.  But some clowns come on here to create conflict and point fingers. They force uneducated opinions on others and do not care about other points of view.  Then they simplify complex points so that they can argue against them, so they can feel better about themselves and twist reality to fit their narratives.

Yes, people had opinions about Teddy---but your description of it suggests that you are only interested in conflict.  You think if you laugh out loud or call a different opinion "hilarious" it makes you look smarter.  Pathetic, really.

Singing from the same sheet music.  We can add 2 rookie linemen this year, maybe another next year.  I think we will be better off. I hope Daley can stay healthy because he can play several spots.

LOL. I quote some one else, you quote me out of the blue and tell me im promoting conflict? How ironic. Here's a tip, if youre so anti conflict, don't quote someone trying to start some poo.

Edit: lol, you actually quoted me twice, both times using ad hominems, and yet you sit there and say i am only interested in conflict. Please do not quote me again

I assume this was sarcasm? My point was, a vague comment about getting younger on O cannot be definitively tied to one position. Could be qb, could be OL, could be TE, could be all of them.

He already has, so has the owner.

Lol, use logic. Ah yes, why didnt i think of that? Sorry, I'll try to next time

Did I?

You seem to have some personal issues going on in your life that are seeping over into this forum. Hope 2021 is a better year for you

    • Wanting that type of play and being okay with paying $55 million a season for it are two entirely different things. If Bryce were to become the same player Purdy has been, then he would surpass my expectations of him and I'd be okay with him as our QB of the future (and again, I've long been one of the bigger anti Bryce people here who doesn't think he is capable of being our long term solution). But in no world would I be okay with paying him THAT kind of money, paying an average starter elite money is just a terrible decision.
    • I don't think they can overcome that mistake. Hell Lance was a hiccup compared to this. He isn't going to be able to carry that price tag and now he is going to have to do just that. Lol. The NFL is so dumb sometimes.
    • So, one could say that T-Mac is quicker than someone of his size should be and while he might not be quite as fast as Evans in the 40, he's more athletic than Evans. If only someone, anyone, could have seen that in his tape and mentioned that on here, hmmmmmmm In all seriousness, hearing he tested in the 89th percentile in that drill at his size is crazy impressive.  Just tried to look up the times of the top WRs in the league right now, most don't show at time for that, but I did see Chase ran his in 7 seconds flat. I honestly don't know how true this is, but I do remember seeing one breakdown of his tape and the person said he has quiet and efficient feet.  That he's really good at using the minimal steps possible to make his cuts and because of that, it actually makes him look slower to the human eye because you don't see all the quick chop steps that the guys like Tyreek would use in their running. I'm still in a state of disbelief that he's a Panther and it might not fully hit me until week 1 and I see him out there making plays for us, still feels like Goodell is going to just be like, "YOU GOT PUNKED!!!  hahaha, he's a Cowboy now, suck it"
