That's one thing that makes it so hard to really get involved with this team. I wish they would commit to core players long term.

His postgame interview after the triple double was top 5 trending on YouTube. I don’t remember the last time anyone brought the hornets that much attention.

I don't think it's ever happened.

It was the right move in the end because we ended up with Lamelo who is a much better player to build around and makes the franchise relevant like Kemba never could. I like Kemba, but he wasn’t bringing big stars or championships here, we were basically just looking at perennial low seed playoff teams. Lamelo will be different I think.

I think with Melo and Hayward, two talents who pass, it will attract big men. The problem is there aren't any decent ones available this off season.  Do not like Drummond on this team.  Jarrett Allen is restricted, but better fit. So with our cap space and maybe tradable assets we could look at deadline if we are in playoff hunt. Franchise is both relevant and up and coming right now. Exciting times.

So essentially our CORE is:
PG (Ball)
SG (Terry)
SF (Hayward)
PF (Washington)
3&D Wing off the bench (Miles)

Graham is interesting because seems to be the guy JB trusts the most to run the offense but his shooting % has been bad this year (ticking up over the past few games though).. sad that Monk can't get minutes - especially cus I don't think either Martin is that valuable.. the biggest problem is our defense and we NEED to find a rotation of Bigs we can trust because even though Biz has been solid for us with Zeller hurt - those two are not good enough for a playoff team.. we need a rim protector/rebounder..

MJ needs to sit back and let this team build thru its young core but he would never let that happen. I like Hayward and he is playing well but I wished that we hadn’t made the signing. I think this team would be better long term getting another high pick in 2021 with someone like Mobley or Green to go along with Ball, Miles and PJ.

I don't understand this thinking about not signing someone like Hayward.  It sounds like a trust the process mentality that hasn't worked.  Hornets draft and develop for 3 or 4 years and you will see the good ones jump first chance.  A 3 or 4 year contract for a legit all star type like Hayward is huge.  Slight overpay per reports, sucked to stretch Batum.  But Hayward is everything Hornets need these next 3 or 4 years. He chose a non destination for all star caliber players.  Team is Leading league in assists, 8th seed right now, and all the young guys are flourishing in their roles. The team can still get solid youth in the door.

I still think we need to keep an eye on Baynes.  When can he be moved? March since he just signed? He has lost his starting role in Toronto and was a DNP-CD recently.

The team is leading in assists because of Lamelo. I like Hayward but I rather build a young team. Signings veterans players to big contracts have not been a positive here in Charlotte. Hayward has been playing well. Just my opinion.

Hayward was a solid signing regardless. He is helping with LaMelo, and all the young guys. I respect that opinion, but we can still get younger and better through the Draft.

    • Green Tea Leaf Extract: A Concentrated Source of Health Benefits Green tea leaf extract is a concentrated form of green tea leaves, created by removing most of the water and other plant material. This process leaves behind a potent powder rich in beneficial compounds, particularly antioxidants called catechins. The most prominent catechin in green tea is epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), believed to be responsible for many of the extract's potential health benefits. Green tea has been consumed for centuries in various cultures for its invigorating and medicinal properties. Green tea leaf extract offers a more concentrated way to experience these benefits. While research is ongoing, here's a glimpse into what science suggests about this extract: Antioxidant Powerhouse: Green tea leaf extract boasts a high concentration of antioxidants, particularly catechins. These antioxidants help combat free radicals in the body, which can damage cells and contribute to various health concerns. Potential Weight Management Aid: Some studies suggest green tea extract may play a role in weight management. It may modestly increase calorie burning and promote fat oxidation, potentially aiding weight loss efforts when combined with a healthy diet and exercise. Brain and Cognitive Function: Green tea leaf extract may offer benefits for cognitive function. The caffeine content can enhance alertness, while EGCG may improve memory and focus. Benefits of Green Tea Leaf Extract: Rich in antioxidants that combat free radicals May support weight management efforts May enhance cognitive function and focus L-Carnitine L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring molecule similar to an amino acid that plays a crucial role in your body's energy production process. Primarily synthesized in the liver and kidneys, with smaller amounts produced in the brain, L-Carnitine also exists in some foods you consume, particularly red meat and dairy products. One of its key functions involves transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria, the powerhouse of your cells. Fatty acids are a type of fuel your body can use for energy, but they can't enter the mitochondria on their own. L-Carnitine acts like a taxi, shuttling these fatty acids across the mitochondrial membrane, allowing them to be burned for energy production. This process not only fuels your cells but also helps reduce the buildup of excess fat in your muscles. Beyond its role in energy production, L-Carnitine offers several other potential health benefits. It may contribute to improved exercise performance by delaying fatigue and muscle soreness. L-Carnitine's involvement in energy metabolism also suggests it might play a part in weight management, though research on its effectiveness for weight loss is ongoing. Additionally, studies have explored the use of L-Carnitine for managing certain health conditions, such as heart disease and male infertility, although more conclusive evidence is needed. Benefits of L-Carnitine: Enhanced Exercise Performance: L-Carnitine may help athletes and those who exercise regularly by improving endurance and reducing muscle fatigue. Potential Role in Weight Management: By promoting fat burning for energy, L-Carnitine might contribute to weight loss efforts, although a healthy diet and exercise remain essential. Supporting Certain Health Conditions: Research suggests L-Carnitine may offer benefits for managing specific health concerns, but further studies are needed for definitive conclusions. L-Theanine L-Theanine, an amino acid naturally found in green and black tea leaves, has gained increasing attention for its potential health benefits. Unlike most other amino acids, L-theanine isn't used to build proteins in the body. Instead, it boasts unique properties that influence brain function and overall well-being. One of L-theanine's key characteristics is its ability to readily cross the blood-brain barrier, a selective gateway that regulates substances entering the brain. Once inside, L-theanine interacts with neurotransmitters, the chemical messengers that shuttle information between brain cells. L-theanine is particularly adept at influencing the levels of alpha waves in the brain. Alpha waves are associated with a state of relaxed alertness, often experienced during meditation or light exercise. By promoting the production of alpha waves, L-theanine may contribute to feelings of calmness and focus. Furthermore, L-theanine appears to work synergistically with caffeine, another prominent component found in tea. While caffeine can heighten alertness, it can also lead to jitters or anxiety in some individuals. L-theanine seems to counteract these negative effects, promoting a smoother and more sustained energy boost when combined with caffeine. L-theanine's influence extends beyond brain function. Studies suggest it may possess antioxidant properties, helping to combat free radicals, unstable molecules that can damage cells and contribute to various health conditions. Additionally, L-theanine may play a role in immune function and blood pressure regulation, although further research is needed to fully understand these potential benefits. Benefits of L-Theanine: Promotes Relaxation and Focus: L-theanine's influence on alpha waves may contribute to feelings of calmness and enhance concentration. May Improve Sleep Quality: By promoting relaxation, L-theanine may ease sleep onset and improve overall sleep quality. May Reduce Anxiety: L-theanine's interaction with brain chemicals associated with relaxation may help alleviate symptoms of anxiety. Java burn
    • The draft lottery is a joke. There is 100% a better way to stop tanking. How about if you tank, you forfeit your draft pick. Boom, solved. All the lottery does is punish truly bad teams. The NBA just uses it for rigging and ratings.
