Then it just becomes about what that vision for the future of the franchise is and how to achieve it. We have no idea whether the franchise wants to make that kind of a bold move or gamble on a rookie. TBQH, it's possible we choose neither for this offseason. 

If you feel Watson can be your Drew Brees you have zero concerns trading for him. Watson can make everyone around him better. Good chance he will because unless he restructured his contact. Moore and Anderson are gone and probably Moton too.

If the saints get watson the other 51 guys will be undrafted FAs.... with Brees retirement they are over 100 million plus otc..  that's insane its also a by product of Loomis "magic". So few people remember the Hurney "magic" of 04-08 and the following FA spending sprees... made possible by converting base salaries to signing  bonuses.
