Just look at Josh Allen last season. He really showed out. Is there one person who can honestly say that if the roles were reversed and that Allen had played the last 3 seasons for the Jets that he would've been in the MVP conversation? Do you think Lamar Jackson would be considered a Franchise QB playing for the Jets? It'd even be hard to say for sure that the great Mahomes would be considered great if he started game 1 with the Jets. Darnold has talent and deserves a chance playing for a good coaching staff and system before being dismissed. He's only 23. I see it as we just drafted a top the QB without spending a 1st round pick.

I mean the problem is that Manning wasn't standing next to Gase.

After all, it was Manning's play calling that gave Gase his name to start with.

Per Albert Breer, he basically expected both Tannehill and Darnold to be able to run the offense just like Peyton did.

(good luck with that)

The more I read up on guys talk about Gase and the environment inside that locker room the more excited I get about seeing what a coach like Rhule can do with Sam.

Anderson made similar comments about how much he preferred the Panthers locker room environment, although, TBH, he was reunited with Rhule, whom he apparently loved playing for at Temple. Speaking of Anderson, his yardage went up by over 300 last season despite sharing the catches with 2 other WR's who got over 1000 yards.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
