I'd be pretty upset with this draft.

Me too I don't think you need 2 highly drafted DT's taken so close together.. (See Kk and Star) You run into not being able to pay one of them if their contracts come up at the same time.... And Especially when 1 was the best DT in his draft. .. You can take a flier on a lower cost FA or lower draft pick working beside your stars on defense..

Get the best or 2nd best OT and go from there..

  • 1) The round 1 LT is a must, and the more I watch Slater, the better I feel about it.
  • 2) A smart, elite C is something we lack and Paradis is old.  Go ahead and get one now.  If he can win the job now, cut/trade Paradis.
  • 3) Mills is a QB we can develop and trade for a first rounder or two if Darnold catches on and become good, and he could be a good backup until then.
  • 4) Twyman is a pass rushing 3 T.
  • 5) Thomas is a solid zone CB with starting potential.  We have some older guys for now, so let's give him a year to learn.
  • 6) Shi Smith is a slot WR/return guy.
  • 7) Ball is going to start at RT in the NFL.   Let him learn for a year--playing in jumbo packages, etc. was surprised to see him at 222.

Regrets?  Did not address S, #1 CB, TE

Assuming we don't receive a blockbuster offer to trade down, take Sewell / Slater at #8. Double dip in the second round with Radunz / the top OT prospect left on our board. Loser in TC moves inside to play OG.

Third round I take the BPA, depending on who falls.

Radunz has big concerns in terms of level of comp.  Doesn't have an ideal NFL skill set or measurables.  I would look elsewhere.

He has the same measurables as Sewell and Slater: 6'5" (actually taller than both), 33" arms, over 300lbs.

Some of you were willing to throw the world at his teammate - why wasn't level of competition a concern then?

He was also voted the practice player of the week at the Senior Bowl - he more than held his own against the vaunted SEC players. 😉

Nope dig deeper...he is right at 300 maybe a little lighter and 6’6 is really tall to be honest.  You haven’t seen him play at all.  Not many people have lol.  He will get man handled at the NFL level.

I don't make recommendations on prospects if I haven't seen them play.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
