We need a good qb and a good line. Quit with this simpleton approach of its gotta be this before that.

You may not realize this, but the draft doesn't actually allow you to pick two players at once.

When the time comes the team is going to have to prioritize one player over another (all others, in fact).

He is saying you can’t go into thinking we HAVE to have this position BEFORE we draft this. BPA is the best way to go while knowing that QB and LT are both still considered needs (along with several other positions). Maybe we have Sewell over Fields, but Fields over Slater. It all just depends on who we like and who is available.

whew boy, Pittsburgh is waaaaay back at 24. They'd have to bring a hellova offer. I'm still waiting for Miami to get cute with that #18 pick. They have 2 in the 1st and 2 in the 2nd. They could surround Tua with 2 top 10 weapons, and still have another top 50 pick. We could have #18, #36, and #39.

Maybe but there are a lot of guys out there breaking fields down and seeing the same thing.   If he was a slam dunk we would have moved to 3

Unless SF have their heads so far up their owns asses they can't see (a very probable situation), Fields WILL go at #3. 1 person says that SF is in love with Jones, and every other talking head regurgitates it for clicks.

FWIW, I'm all in on LT or CB even if fields is available.

Wait are we allowed to draft a CB with a need still at LT? Asking for a friend...

I tend to prefer my LT to be around 7'3", over 375 lbs and usually at least 42" arm length. I do like at least a 12" hand, as well.

It helps a lot for picking up DE's by the scruff of their neck and then tossing them at a DT.

Foucault!

New wrinkle in the Fields saga...

Don't necessarily expect it to mean much, but it's a story.

That can be a scary illnesss to have. Hopefully he will outgrow it like predicted. Makes you also wonder what happens if/when he gets a concussion...

    • Good, our ST is almost as bad as our ILB depth!
    • With two starters on expiring contracts (Moton + Corbett) as well as a few back-ups (Christensen, Mays, and Nijman), the Panthers are likely going to have to reinvest in the OL after this coming season. Icky's fifth-year option was picked up by the team this offseason while Lewis and Hunt both remain under contract then (though Lewis' deal is set-up in a way that would let Carolina move on from him then as well). I think that the team is going to be looking at investing a premium pick at RT should Bryce's development continue, and might even look to double dip at the position in order to have a swing tackle that can also kick inside when needed. There's also the question of starting center... Prospects I'm watching this upcoming college season... Centers Jake Slaughter (Florida) Iapani Laloulu (Oregon) Connor Lew (Auburn) Logan Jones (Iowa) Parker Brailsford (Alabama) Connor Tollison (Missouri) Bryce Foster (Kentucky) Pat Coogan Notre Dame) Raheem Anderson (Michigan) Carson Hinzman (Ohio State) RTs Francis Mauigoa (Miami) Kadyn Proctor (Alabama) Spencer Fano (Utah) Gennings Dunker (Iowa) Blake Miller (Clemson) Isaiah World (Oregon) Caleb Tiernan (Northwestern) Monroe Feeling (Georgia) Earnest Greene III (Georgia) Monroe Mills (Louisville) Charles Jagusah (Notre Dame) Tree Babalade (South Carolina) Trey Zuhn III (Texas A&M) Nolan Rucci (Penn State) Tristan Leigh (Clemson) Fernando Carmona (Arkansas) JC Davis (Illinois) Riley Mahlman (Wisconsin) PJ Williams (SMU) Tosh Baker (Notre Dame) Aki Ogunbiyi (Texas A&M) Courtland Ford (Kentucky) Ethan Onianwa (Rice)
    • I watched documentary on the 2010 Auburn season and Cam wasn’t included in that either. I think he just doesn’t care for these things
