Albert Breer also has us taking Fields, believes Tepper is pushing for it.

A rocket scientist or brain surgeon are generally the smartest guys in their rooms. Would you want them giving you invest advice or doing each other's jobs? Just because you are smart doesn't mean you have the expertise to contribute to the process.

Not a proper/logical comparison.

"Football" is child's play for Tepper...

As nice as it would be to land Fields I just have a hard time believing he makes it to 8. If we want him we may have to make a move. I guess that's the price you pay for establishing a little culture in a 5 win season.

The only way they could have lost that Washington game was to forfeit it. The Panthers were not good that game, but WFT was worse.

You're wasting your time on that one.

He doesn't have a clue, but he wants to look like he does.

What's the full extent of your personal involvement with a hedge fund?

Ever invested in one?

Had one for a client?

Worked at one?

Ever set foot in the offices of one?

Please do tell ol' soothsayer...

Come on man...  He took a pay cut and got traded, both things you were convinced wouldn’t happen. I make plenty of bad calls myself (just wait until tomorrow), but you have to own them.

My understanding is Teddy had a total of $10,000,000 of guaranteed money left on his Panthers deal and that he's going to collect all of it -- that's not a pay cut.  If I'm incorrect please do fill me in.

Personally I hoped he wouldn't be traded but I certainly didn't guarantee it would never happen.

I predicted Hurney would stick and when he didn't I was first-in taking credit for being wrong.

This guy @Mr. Scot is a complete blowhard who is literally the single least-informed person on earth as it goes to how guys like Tepper go about conducting business...

...he is however a 1st ballot Hall of Famer as it goes to screen time and sheer volume of posts! (and we're talking a decade+ track record, Tom Brady like I tell ya!)

Good onya Scot!

I know as much about hedge funds as you know about football.

So we'll take that as none, no, no, no, and no.  Obviously you're not an accredited investor.

Our argument here isn't about "football"...

...it's about business operations.

Tepper has 100% overlayed/installed the Appaloosa Model on/in the Panthers organization and this is perfectly clear to everyone, everywhere...except you Mr. Ostrich.

In the other thread you did confirm that Fitterer reports to Rhule, right?

Actually, you're the only one who takes the Appaloosa bullsh-t seriously. Everybody else laughs at it.

Running a hedge fund and running a football team have very little in common. This is a big reason why I don't give a rat's ass about hedge funds.

Those of us who actually do know football understand that we're most closely following the Seahawks model, although that structure isn't actually anything new or original to them. They're just one of the more recent teams using it

Business is business pal...

You've already admitted you know absolutely nothing about hedge funds and since that's the truth, how could you possibly compare/contrast running a hedge-fund with an NFL franchise?

Buddy you don't know jack-sh*t about football or anything else...you're just a cut & paste keyboard warrior...and gawdalmighty what a warrior you are!!

As for the "Seahawks model"...please do describe exactly what you believe this to be.

You've always maintained that only a traditional "football" model is ever successful in the NFL -- this implies an absentee owner, all-powerful GM, Coach who is subservient to the GM, etc...

...is this the "Seahawks model"?

Fitterer reports to Rhule, right?

Are you going to be alright tonight? There are hotlines you can call if you are having trouble coping. Be safe.
