CP dancing with a full chub until we bring in another QB from another teams practice squad.

PJ will be standing right behind Grier in the unemployment line, and the extra covid funds just ended.

I mean, technically Grier was laid off due to downsizing. Could he go get unemployment?

Nepotism doesn't mean he earned the job. He played horrible. You saw it. You wanted to talk all this trash the first week and then magically when he started completing no passes you ran away, posted gifs, and no longer gave your updates or thoughts on the game itself anymore while he was in. He will never be a good starting QB in the NFL. You were talking about him taking over for Sam when he was never in competition with Sam. He was in competition with Grier. He lost the competition. The team went with him because Rhule likes him. It clearly has 0 to do with performance. Because he didn't perform. 41% completions in preseason is trash tier performance.

Even you couldn't deny that and thats why you stopped giving your updates on his performance. It was hard to watch. If he is a starting QB for this team at any point this season we have lost all hope of this season ending in a playoff trip.

One final thought, it says a lot about you when you are visiting another teams forum hoping that the starting QB sucks on our own team so your backup can get a crack at the job.

For this a response is deserved....

First, he did play very well in week 1, so much as so, that eyes started to wonder...fitterer for example...now let's assume PJ was told to tone it down...

He does good y'all say preseason...okay can't argue there...

Will does ok...look at all the hype...hmmm, but Darnold was still a question mark...

Darnold does well against 2s n 3s... Same praise...

So why talk about stats after preseason week 1....or performance for that matter...the biggest negative thing against PJ was turnovers, so as long as he didn't throw a pick, he was all good.

Now, the real season starts....

I was going to the Steelers game, but since I was taking my daughter she thought it best to debut her PJ sign when it counts...it's funny because once she found out Darnold was just playing the 2s n 3s she said she didn't want any scrubs...

See I lost hope for the season when we traded for Darnold...then again when we didn't draft Fields...but I've regained hope in knowing PJ is going start sometime this season.

Why bring this old troll thread back up?

Darnold has the potential to be a franchise QB if he can put it together. He has physical gifts that PJ can only dream of.

IF he does not work out we still need a QB, with PJ you know from the jump we need a new QB.

Only difference is sam has been a starter longer. that is literally it, oh, and pj walker is more athletic and mobile. More confident.

Darnold starting = potential wildcard

PJ starting = "For the first pick in the 2022 NFL Draft The Carolina Panthers select ????"

You know most insurance companies will pay for new glasses.  Cause you ain't seeing right.

PJ is a scrambler and couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a banjo.

Darnold, with a blindfold on would still be more accurate than PJ on his best day.

More confidence has lead to 1 touchdown and 5 interceptions? And more athletic has lead to 4 career Rushes for -2 yards and a fumble?

Sam averaged 5.9 yards per rush last season on 37 attempts.

Why talk about stats after preseason week 1? Because you said you were going to. Because you thought PJ would have a decent game. When he got outplayed two weeks in a row, giving you nothing to cheer about, you decided to not make the posts you said you would on evaluating the play of the QBs.

You are not a Panthers fan. You are a PJ Walker Stan.

What’s his username? CPsinceDay1. Maybe he meant Constable Philip since day 1? But he’s made it clear he isn’t pulling for the Panthers. He’s only pulling for the Panthers if PJ Walker is going to start.

Carolina All Day... Clearly there's something in the air against PJ, who's a member of the Carolina Panthers...I mean so many threads concerned with the backup QB, why, because it shows the lack of faith in Sam Darnold...once again passing on Fields, and now releasing Will, let's me know how much faith it is they have in PJ vs. how much they in Sam Darnold...like @CRA has stated they're not bringing in any QB, and it's because they don't want any real competition for PJ Walker.

Darnold is a bargain chip...he was meant for insurance always...a decent backup..or trade bait should a certain QB legal problems disappear...had it been Fields,Darnold,PJ...there would be no Horn...and PJ possesses the same skill set as Fields so the understanding if Darnold sucks, homerun with PJ... Phillip went undrafted...off and on the colts...PJ is a baller from the XFL...who knows what it takes to fight to get where you are...

So as a Panthers fan 🙏 for 6

    • I’ve haven’t seen anything that says we have interest in Njoku?
    • I think the Njoku interest revealed intent and the type of TE they want.  I really expected more from Sanders.
    • Defensive tackle (or end in a 3-4 base) is suddenly a rather significant need.  It seems to be a forbidden topic on the Huddle.  Well I am going to unforbidden it for this thread. When we lost Robinson, it was a salary cap cutting move, saving us about $9m or so, I think.  That suggests that we are going to get cheaper, younger, and maybe, more multi-dimensional.  First, what did we lose in Robinson: (Charlotte Observer)  "Robinson co-led the team in sacks (5.5) in 2024, and he ranked second among Carolina linemen, behind Brown, in sacks (2.5) in 2025. (Derrick) Brown played on 76.4% of the Panthers’ defensive snaps last year, while Robinson played on 62.2% of those reps. No other defensive lineman played more than 38.3%, as free-agent addition, Turk Wharton, dealt with injuries throughout his first season in Carolina. Wharton played in just nine games, producing 36 total tackles and two sacks. He’s guaranteed $14 million this upcoming season. Read more at: https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article314544998.html#storylink=cpy OK, about Turk Wharton.  The Observer claims that he and Bobby Brown III were to rotate into the Robinson DE position, but that is too weird for my head to comprehend.  First, Brown III is a NT by trade and Wharton weighs about 280 lbs and is not stout vs. the run.  Brown III is not going to provide the internal pass pressure; he is basically designed to take on double teams and dig in.  Wharton, on the other hand, had a PFF score in those 9 games of 40 or so.  In fairness, he was playing with injuries, but Damn.  PFF gives me a higher rating at the Golden Corral buffet.  In other words, we need a true DT who can fill the two thirds of snaps that we just released.  We can't count on Turk and Brown III is not the answer.  Cam Jackson?  Same as Brown.  Have your people do what they do best.  Furthermore, Derrick Brown probably should limit his snaps.  Playing more than 3/4 of the snaps is hard on the body.  A tired player in the trenches is more prone to lower-body injuries. We need a player who can give Derrick Brown some relief and play opposite him as well.  Turk can rotate in but he needs to shoot gaps and give Guards and tackles fits--a change of pace.   I have to think we are going to draft DT much sooner than most Huddlers realize.  My favorite, you didn't ask? Probable second-rounder Gracen Halton (No. 59 overall, according to ESPN's March 2026 update). Once considered a Day 3 sleeper, his 2026 NFL draft stock has exploded into Round 2 or 3 due to elite interior pass-rush metrics.  Projected Round: 2 (Early to Mid) Key Traits: Elite explosive, quickness, 12.2%+ pass-rush win rate, and positional versatility to play inside on passing downs. Combine Highlights: Led defensive tackles in the vertical jump (36.5”) and broad jump, per Sports Illustrated. Draft Stock: Rising fast due to consistent 2025 production (7 tackles for loss) and a "freak show" combine performance, according to Stormin in Norman.  Halton is considered a high-motor playmaker and a potential Day 2 standout, notes   I would not be surprised to see DT on day 2.
