I think he makes the team, largely because Tremble is also (effectively) our FB.

The best positive indicator for him was not suiting up vs. the Colts last week. Honestly, I don't really care. Really liked him in the draft and thought he had the potential to be the best TE in the draft class. But he just hasn't developed. I honestly think he was better as a rookie than he's ever been since.

I think they're just playing him up a bit, maybe trade him for another very late round pick before he's cut.

Honestly, he just hasn't moved up enough to be more than a TE3, even on this team. Could pick up a camp cut quicker and cheaper.

I'd like to think if we could get something in return for Greg Little, we could also get something for Ian Thomas.

As to the question, I think even if he does make the team he's going to be used only sparingly.

depends on how much the team wants to use 2 TE sets

but for $2M, I think he's too pricey as a backup TE

maybe the Panthers can trade him to a TE needy team for a late round pick ??
