He didn't exactly stand out in his rookie season. And he is also dealing with an injury this offseason. 

If they are interested in moving him(which we don't know that they are) after taking him in the first round a couple of years ago, that should say a lot.

Fair enough, I thought he was pretty serviceable for his rookie year

If the staff and FO see him as a cheap gamble, I wouldn't have an issue with a trade for him. My expectations would be pretty low and I wouldn't want to see anything more than say a 6th round draft pick sent their way.
