Can likely clear up $7M ~ $12M in the offseason, which would keep the cap a little closer to what it looked like going into next season. The team looks like it's going in with the roster that it has for this season and next, with the option to reboot afterwards.

I like that it also means that if Sam stays, he's still got Robby. If Sam goes, whomever takes over is going to have incredible weapons, a strong defense, and hopefully a competent OL. The team has this season and next to find answers outside of Moton & Christensen (Tyler Linderbaum pls).

2023 will also be the year to get out of Shaq's contract which puts the current projected available cap according to Spotrac at... $162M 😮 Will have a lot of the current young guys under contract as well... Strap in for the ride y'all 👀

No way he’s worth that

What do you think he would go for?

Golladay and Robinson types are currently setting the bar present day at about 18 million.  Allen and Cooper are at 20.

Absolutely love Linderbaum, but there are some relatively cheap and solid free agent centers in say Austin Corbett, Bradley Bozeman, James Daniels, Scott Quessenberry and Ted Kerras who are all young and fit our bill as well. IMO its a great LT class and its way cheaper to pay a C then a LT. I would lean signing a center and drafting a tackle, but Linderbaum is pretty generational at center. I just think the value is stronger to go LT in a very strong class.

Around the same as Robbie…just go an extra year

4 yrs…$50m…tops

So you think DJ and Robby are the same tier WR?

I would say he would walk then if Carolina viewed it is as such.  The market for him is clearly being set by others and he can get it.   I’d tell him not to sign here if I was in his camp.

If Sam can throw it downfield DJ willl have a great year.  If Darnold can’t he will do what he has done the last two.  Either way, someone I think will pay him at least what Golladay can get + the yearly inflated bump added on.

DJ is good…not elite

he disappears in crunch time and doesn’t get open enough

love to see him prove me wrong this year

Low-key hoping we spread it out so much this year he kinda has take a little less. With how many options we have its possible his stats decline. I think we keep him no matter what though. You def want to sign him before Ridley who is the Falcons ONLY option besides Pitts.

Not sure Nuk Hopkins would look elite with a busted Cam, Allen and Teddy throwing at him for 3 consecutive seasons.

    • Some people have been beaten down so long they have no standards. Can't be reasoned with.
    • Getting better, might be fairly charitable. We finished 1-3 with the pressure on. That is for sure not trending up.  I don’t see a clear run of performances that prove he has taken it to another level. Not yet.  I would say he played really well in the WC game. And folded on that last series where we still had a chance. I think he threw one good ball. That last series is the kind of thing a player is supposed to learn from and not repeat. We have to see him do it before we can credit him for doing it.    I would also say he has not done enough of playing at his ceiling and what we should expect as the game in game out norm is still not established.  We gonna get MNF in SF or we gonna get the WC game? Seattle or Atlanta yardage record?   Besides that he has three years of horrendous play to start the season hanging over him. Are we going to get that again or will he be over that? We can’t know that. Mind you, that isn‘t two of three it is three of three he has yet to play well to start the year as a pro. Ofer.    So, many questions remain.    As far as weapons and help… said it before. Fix the OL so we can protect him.  It is time for a 1.1 pick in his 4th season, third year in the same offense, to elevate the players we have given him. You can’t keep up the level of investment dedicated to propping him up, you have to prop up the defense too and get some balance.
    • Yeah, just got back to the house from doing some actual work, hopefully they create some better chances in the second half. 3-1 looks tough for you
