no. i'm really not, Grier has been coddled as well, didn't even have the thought to learn the playbook at one time and somehow he is the victim? okay.

Who said he’s a victim? Who said he didn’t have the thought to learn the playbook? You are trolling. You are arguing with me about things I never wrote.

Grier himself said that during a press conference. Which goes to the false narrative that he wasn't given a chance. Can't give somebody a chance that doesn't even learn the playbook.

You said he didn't have the thought to learn the playbook. The thought.... Did he say "I didn't think I should learn the playbook"? Either you're bad with conversing in english or you are trolling, per usual.

I remember thinking weinke was gonna be a steal.  Same for Clausen.  I never really felt that way about grier.  Now I just accept that it's hard to predict on mid round qbs.  For every Russell Wilson or Tom brady, there are countless pickles.

I think Grier won the battle with this last game but I think we should keep both of them to be honest.

Walker has the skills to keep us competitive and Grier is actually showing good potential for the first time. Should Darnold get hurt or crumble, it's worth having them both around to evaluate.

I think we should cut both and sign a vet.  Neither one will ever be a competent NFL starter

    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
    • This thread is dumb. But I do think canales gets too cute with play calling and I don't think he's a good coach
    • 2 bad teams played yesterday and one lost. Both teams are still bad today. Bryce is a big part of that. It wouldn't have been a close game if DC would have just gone rage rushing from the start.  The Panthers would look so much better with just decent WB play. No way to avoid that fact.
