I was fortunate enough to be at the Silverdome during the Barry Sanders era and experience the "Barry, Barry, Barry" chant.  It was incredible.  But to your point there were several points during the game where someone in our section tried to get it going but it didn't stick...and other times where I could hear another section trying to get it going but it didn't stick.

A big group of fans tried to organically start the chant today, and were completely blown out by whatever thing they were selling. "Organic" can't work in such a controlled atmosphere.

they put it up on the screen today, but not like it was before, one side doing "Keep" and the other "Pounding", it wasn't directed at either side

and yes I heard it start up within the crowd too, but it never got full throat across the stadium, came close one time tho late in the game

We are 2-0 without it really...I know its controversial but maybe we need a new tradition.

actually, the best I've heard these two games was walking down the ramp to leave the stadium, pretty damn loud
