Crazy ballsy to go for it on 4th and 2 inside the 5 with under 4 minutes to go in a tied game when you could hit a gimme FG to go up three. It paid off. I guess they were banking on the refs bailing them out with a flag if they failed to convert since the refs escorted them down the field with flags to begin with. -
It's funny how narrative change over the years. 15 years ago, being a Bama QB meant going in the 4th-5th round. Ever since Tua, being at Bama gives you a 1st round buff, no matter how mid. Mac Jones, Bryce Young, and Ty Simpson are Day 3 picks if they didn't play for Alabama.
